Last Breath deals with anything that has 2 power or less. Its great in mirror matches, great vs mono blue, you can remove mono black's grey merchant so it cant be whipped back and can remove pack rats before they swarm, it can remove Voice of Resurgence , the list goes on. As for Gods Willing , idk, i want to try it, but i dont think its utility is as good as Rootborn Defenses because it only protects one creature, and i run 27 creatures.. This deck is built to load the field up with utility creatures, and then protect from board wipes. As for Imposing Sovereign she just shuts down creature decks and allows me to naturally swing in for extra damage. Fencing Ace is cool and i thought about it, but Precinct Captain is better. What i might do is swap Judge's Familiar for Gods Willing in the sideboard

I personally like Gideon, Champion of Justice
in here.

yep, he works well... he is easy for this deck to cast, and with all of the Brave the Elements and Gods Willing its easy for me to turn him into a 6/6 + unblockable and indestructible creature.

Super legit deck! My changes to abuse devotion more:
-1 Gideon, Champion of Justice -1 Brave the Elements +1 Heliod, God of the Sun +1Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

@Raxin yeah, i think im going to go ahead and pick up another Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , but if i put it in there, i may have to drop a Mutavault . My reasoning is because i use to run 23 mana, and it was just a little too in consistent. I just recently dropped it to 22.
Now, as running 3 Heliod, God of the Sun , i use to do that. But i ended up drawing multiples of him often, and it ended up being a dead card in my hand. And 2 seems to be thr right number because using Gift of Orzhova on precinct capatain assures me tokens for chump blockers, therefore the viligilance is really only icing on the cake. Also, i ended up dropping 1 heliod for Gideon, Champion of Justice because he is an ace agaisnt control decks, and can be a late game finisher for creature match ups. (see round 2 game 1 from my fnm ;) ). But ill def look into another shrine.

Word. You thought it through and tested! I'd board x2 Gideon for control and run the 3x Heliod. Having a backup to a Heliod on the field isn't too bad of a place to be. Minor details tho. Enjoy.

@ Chadderz i have another one in the board. Brave the elements is how i get past stormbreath.. im not overly concerned with losing a race to a Stormbreath Dragon because my life gain. Also, Celestial Flare isnt my only answer. i also have 2 Elspeth, Sun's Champion . The only real useful application for stormbreath vs me is as a blocker. which is nullified by Brave the Elements and Frontline Medic . The only things this deck is weak against is hand hate and board wipes.

Ajani, Caller of the Pride over Gideon, Champion of Justice all day, everyday. ajani is a threat to be dealt with, gideon is a cute little guy that no one cares about. play 2 ajani, he's amazing. I would play Fencing Ace over Imposing Sovereign anyday as well. I don't know how I feel about Mutavault . I've seen it work, i've seen it fail, that's more of a preference. I'm also not a fan of Dryad Militant I'd run Gods Willing over that to get in for more damage and stop kill cards from ruining your day.
For the sideboard: I'd lose last breath altogether. It's a cool card, but the only good thing about it is it deals with master of waves, which Banisher Priest does just fine for. I would put 2 more Celestial Flare in the sideboard along with a 1 of like an elspeth or even just one Gift of Orzhova . That card is the absolutely shit, so, so good.
