To ntrippe : I gotta admit that I've been touched by your comment. There is one small, but very important thing that kept intact my love and admiration for Magic : The Gathering during all theses days, weeks, months, years, during good times and harder times : The Community spirit.

MTG brings along a lot of people to their kitchen tables where they play with improvised rules or to their local game stores where most of the time they don't even know each other and wouldn't even speak together if they met on the street. It brings together people that are bound by the same love for a game and invite them to work together, to have fun and forget about their everyday's worries. As you said, it is really awesome to see that and I'm really, really happy to contribute and live it. Thank you ntrippe, and thank you all lovers of Magic !!

To Untrollable : I'll be working on that. I will try to cover most of the sideboard intricacies in the Matchups section, which is still in progress.

To meemoe8 : I dont think Archetype of Courage would be a relevant additon to my sideboard :-(. I have never seen another Mono white token deck and the closest deck other then Monowhite is the infamous RW midrange... and Archetype is useless against them since they got 4x Lightning Strike and 2-3x Wild Slash.
Keep in mind that this decklist's sideboard is meant to be well-rounded and not very specific. I highly suggest to you and everyone to evaluate the meta of their Local game store and then change their sideb. in consequence. If Aggro and small creature decks like RW or BW warriors are very popular at your local store, remove the 2Erase and one Mastery of the Unseen to add 3 Last Breath. I've been playing one Standard night at my LGS and I played a match vs RW Midrange. I have been completely wrecked by a Seeker of the Way into Goblin Rabblemaster into Chandra, Pyromaster hand !! ... If RW is still problematic this Thursday at my LGS, I'll bring in the hate.

So just a quick update. I have been testing the deck at my LGS for the past few days and i found that for me personally Timely Hordemate found more value than Citadel Siege because i would find times were going wide was more beneficial than stacking counters on a creature or tapping( the latter largely due to more and more control and hexproof creatures in my meta). This is for people who are experiencing the same issue(if any) also i tried 2 Soul of New Phyrexia in the place of the Spear of Heliod and it ended up being a nuclear deterrent vs b/u control's board wipes however that was only in light testing so i have yet to see how it holds up against other decks.

If price wasn't an issue to sideboard these specific cards, would you recommend siding in perilous vault, end hostilities or fated retribution against stormbreath dragon decks? Obviously its a last resort play, but do you think this deck could re stabilize quickly enough after the board wipe to come out with the win?

Arashin Foremost what are your thoughts about this card in the deck its from dragons of tankir, one more thing if you would splash another color in this deck what would it be? Sylex

To DecistroYer : End Hostilities's prices arent a issue for the deck's budget : They're 1,50-2,00 $ each, it's not expensive at all. Even if I dont like running Wrath of God-esque cards in the sideboards of faster decks, adding 2 End Hostilities for Monogreen, R/G monsters and any Stormbreath Dragon deck isn't a bad idea if thoses 2 decks are popular at your local store. Recovering from a Wrath is difficult, altough not impossible for my deck.

To dvdboy911 : ( Pls take notice that my username is -Sylex-, with a '' - '' on each side, not Sylex).
While Double Strike is a powerful keyword, it's not as impressive when it's on a tiny creature. However, Arashin Foremost could still be a 1 or 2x in my deck since I run Spear of Heliod, Dictate of Heliod and Citadel Siege.
If I were to splash another color, It would definitely be black. Why ? Because it would give me access to powerful spells like Thoughtseize, Mardu Strike Leader, Brutal Hordechief, Murderous Cut, ( or even Ultimate Price in the next set ) and most importantly, Sorin, Solemn Visitor.

2 questions, what do you think about runing a full playset of Launch the Fleet? and also, do you know if you can target Stormbreath Dragon with the dragons abilily of Citadel Siege? or does it count as targeting it with a white permanent hability? because to me it sounds as it targets yourself with the ability and not the card directly

To Stelmeiria : Launch the Fleet is a amazing card, but I dont know if running a playset would be worth it. You need to have some creatures in play and a anthem to make the most profit out of it, so cutting creatures or anthems to make room for a full set would be a bit awkward. I still think a 2-3x would be fine if you like using that card, it's up to you to make cuts at this point.

You cannot target Stormbreath Dragon with Citadel Siege Dragons mode. Protection from white means the creature cannot be targeted by a spell or ability, dealt damage, blocked or enchanted by a white source.

I have an Ajani Steadfast, I think his +1 and -2 would work great in harmony with the strengths of this deck. As for splashing some black, I was thinking of adding Sorin, solemn visitor once I get him, and also a 2 set of murderous cut to deal with the Stormbreath threat, but ill probably wanna switch those out for ultimate price once it becomes legal again on the 27th. If splashing black, would you side the black and bring it in in response to certain threats, or would you main board?

To DecistroYer : Splashing black means mainboarding. XD I would certainly not buy BW dual lands only to sideboard black cards. Also, I think Ultimate Price may be better then Murderous Cut since it's easier to cast. However, I would run both of them if I'd splash black, maybe 2x Ultimate Price and a single Murderous Cut

To JamestheJoo : While Mass Calcify may look good on paper, it costs 7 mana to cast, which is way too expensive for the effect it does. The decks running 4xStormbreath Dragon are also running most of the time 4x Lightning Strike, 4 or a bit less Stoke the Flames and a single Wild Slash, which means they can remove some of the early board pressure that makes this deck's strong. Having to wait until turn 7 ( Or even more, turn 7 is only when you drop a land each turn which means you'd have to keep awkward hands) to destroy a Stormbreath Dragon and their other threats is way too slow. End Hostilities is a much better card and it destroys white creatures : Siege Rhino, Mantis Rider, Butcher of the Horde, Monastery Mentor, Soulfire Grand Master, all of theses are must-answer threats that you can deal with with End Hostilities

Fnm updates as I go. Games 1&2, lost both to a RW rabblemaster build with stoke the flames doing lethal to end it, both games over at about turn 7-8. Will continue updates

Games 3-4, 2 loss to abzan midrange. Couldn't draw creatures, besides a mardu hordechief and a seeker of the way. Heros downfall and bile blight took them both. Was able to exile double siege rhinos with double glare of heresy at one point, so that was nice. On to games 5-6. Losses throughout, but I can definitely see the potential this build has, just having a bad shuffling night, taking a turn too long to stabilize.

Games 5-6 losses to a rabblemaster and stormbreath build. Was able to Murderous Cut the stormbreath both games, but couldn't stabalize once rabblemaster started doing work. Games 7-8 were both wins against another abzan midrange build! Deck rolled perfectly for the first time tonight. Woe reaper t1, seeker t2, spear of heliod t3, seeker again t4, and dictate of Heliod t5 in game one. Swinging for 17 on t5 won it, perfect game one. Game two went a while, took a while to get a creature on board, but pulled a seeker, coupled it with launch the fleet and spear of Helios, restabalized, and just wore it down from there. Glare of heresy and spear of Heliods activated ability both got rid of siege rhinos for me, definitely seeing why it and dictate are the crux of the deck. So, 2-6 for the night, but overall satisfied. The deck works, it was just a bad night for my shuffling game. Biggest problem was not being able to draw creatures.

Love the deck. Curious on what you guys think about Monastery Mentor in this deck? There's more spells then creatures. And it brings out white tokens with prowess. Just trying to think if there is a way to make it faster.

I was wondering if you are planning on updating this deck for Dragons? And also have you considered brewing another budget deck of another color? I am still super impressed by this and if you made more that would be awesome. Keep up the awesome work :)

To JamestheJoo : Monastery Mentor is pretty insane in this deck. I currently own one and he was amazing in the games where I casted him on turn 3 and went unanswered for a turn or two : It basically triples the value of Spear of Heliod and I let you imagine how awesome he is with Dictate of Heliod :-D. However the card is very expensive and it requires a bit of setup ( and protection ) to really make it work at max efficiency. If you're not restricted by his price tag and want to go ham with a 3-4 of, I highly suggest you to add some Gods Willing to the maindeck.

To ntrippe : Thanks ! Im a bit busy this week so I wont really get the time to update my deck. I'll take time to review potential DGK cards for my deck later. You can still expect to see a new brew by the end of the current week if I get the time. I hadnt planned to make it as budget as this one, so I'll make a budget and a non-budget version.
