Monored Elemental Mirror March

Modern* Mono-Red

norphesius

Sideboard

The deck attempts to use disposable, aggressive elementals to pressure the opponent until you can get out Mirror March and Purphoros, God of the Forge and just burn the opponent the rest of the way. Krark's Thumb makes March way more reliable, and lets us use Mana Clash as another way to finish off opponents, and get actual value out of Fiery Gambit.

Elementals like Ball Lightning and Hellspark Elemental are threatening yet disposable, and can be recurred via Thunderkin Awakener. Catalyst Elemental can act as a mana sink to help get out March faster and, when its finally out, provide more mana to cast more spells. Sunflare Shaman will serve as a good finisher too, even without March, as the graveyard will have a fair amount of elemental in it.

One thing I definitely want to tweak is the number of lands. I went with 24, since March is 6R and the whole point of the deck, but with the Catalyst Elementals it might be possible to go down to 22, and let me squeeze in more creatures to draw.
