Marchesa, the Black Rose is a strong independent woman who don't need no man. She likes to play dirty.

Her obvious strategy revolves around the idea of persistent, almost unkillable creatures. She works nicely with many abilities, namely Undying, Unleash, Evolve, Graft, Infect, as well as of course, her own Dethrone. I have decided to focus on abusing her last ability to accelerate the deck. Ashnod's Altar, Altar of Dementia, Disciple of Bolas, Grimgrin, The Corpse-born, Diamond Valley, Victimize, and Demonmail Hauberk provide sacrifice outlets as well as Blasphemous Act, Damnation, and Killing Wave for additional death triggers producing acceleration and control off cards like Blood Artist, Flayer of the Hatebound, River Kelpie, Grave Pact, Grave Betrayal, Black Market, and Abyssal Gatekeeper.
