He can't fly, but Morophon, the Boundless is the hottest new Dragon tribal commander! He can cheat out stuff for less and which tribe has a bunch of three color creatures in all the wedges??? The goal is to rush out Morophon and then some legendary dragons as quickly as possible. Cards like Dragonspeaker Shaman , Urza's Incubator , and Heartless Summoning get Morophon and your other dragons out quickly. If you have Fist of Suns out along with Morophon then you can cast any dragon for free! You also have Dragon Arch and Quicksilver Amulet to get dragons onto the battlefield for cheap, very useful if Morophon is stuck in the command zone.

There's no hard win condition or "going infinite" in this deck, it's pretty casual. Most of the good combo dragon cards are mono-colored, if you want to play with those then Morophon, the Boundless might not be for you. This is why we're not running Scion of the Ur-Dragon , even though we could cast it for free.

This is a five color deck but with Morophon, the Boundless you won't have to worry about getting consistent mana, at least with your creatures. You'll often be saving 3 mana, and sometimes even 5 mana on certain dragons. So we want to get to 7 mana of any color as soon as possible to cast Morophon. For lands we're running all the shocklands, all the battlebond lands, and a few five color lands. A Cascading Cataracts and Crystal Quarry synergize well with Fist of Suns for mana fixing to get dragons onto the battlefield even when Morophon, the Boundless isn't out. For artifact ramp we have a few 5 color rocks and a few colorless ones for Morophon and the remaining colorless CMC of dragons. For spells there are a few green land tutors like Kodama's Reach for fixing along with Land Tax and Smothering Tithe . The hope is that by the time your opponents have dealt with Morophon and your initial wave of dragons, you have enough mana to cast more dragons even without Morophon on the field.

The maybeboard is some cards I'm mulling over. Utvara Hellkite would be really sweet and help go wide with big dragons but being mono-colored is a disadvantage is this deck. Eidolon of Rhetoric and Spirit of the Labyrinth can be used to slow down your opponents. The two Sarkhan planeswalkers have good synergy with the deck, but it's hard to keep them alive without low CMC creatures on the battlefield.
