@Deathstroke2791 Elderscale Wurm does provide an obstacle for my opponents. So yes it does do it job. Plus it's a 7/7 and that matters too. But honestly I was thinking Elderscale Wurm too... I also think Animist's Awakening could get cut too. After a just few of lands have been pulled from the deck Animist's Awakening does little to does nothing. What's do think about that card

The "untap those lands" clause would be reason enough for me to keep the Awakening. What about Boundless Realms.

Here's he thing about spell mastery in this deck. The instants and sorcery spells, half of them get lands. So by the time I use Awakening it doesnt work that good... just hate to take another ramp spell out of the deck. But it should be replaced with somthing better at least. As for Boundless Realms I need it. It pairs up so well with my big spells stuff like Genesis Wave

Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Ranger's Path, Hunting Wilds could be more ramp spells
Momentous Fall, Hunter's Prowess, Soul's Majesty, Restock, Revive, Seasons Past could be more card draw
Fierce Empath is really good with woodland bellower.
possible cuts could include
predatory focus. This could be Thunderfoot Baloth or some other Overrun
font of mythos, howling mine, otherworld atlas - maybe run Horn of Greed, or Seer's Sundial
I have a ramp deck I've been working on as well that could use another set of eyes on if you don't mind, Radha, Butcher of Keld. Thanks!

Traverse the Outlands jas got to go in but what to take out?
August 23, 2017 8:13 p.m.
My vote for a creature to cut for Traverse the Outlands would be either Gyre Sage or Nessian Wilds Ravager.
I feel like Gyre Sage can be slow and is generally less important than the other creatures, plus its a bad draw late game.
Nessian Wilds Ravager, while a fun card, gives an opponent a choice, and that usually means the opponent will get a better outcome.
As a side note, no Omnath, Locus of Mana? Seems like his kind of deck.
August 23, 2017 9:27 p.m.
My vote for your cut would be one of the two mentioned prior, or Bellowing Tanglewurm. Gyre sage isnt really special outsider of counter bases decks. I think bellow wurm is One of the less important pieces in terms of redundancy. Siege behemoth does it better in my opinion, and trample often does the trick as well.

My vote for cut is Courser of Kruphix. It doesn't provide much for you except your opponents knowing what you will draw and it doesn't provide you any extra land drops.

I like the input I'm leaning towards Gyre Sage or Courser of Kruphix but if I choose either one of those I loose on mana curve. The other one I was thinking was Nessian Wilds Ravager because outside of it removing a creature one time it's just a 12/12 body with nothing else. But a 12/12 with some kind of evasion is good. I think I'm leaning towards all three to be honest. I think I want to replace all 3. What other 2 cards with regards to mana ramp for one of them and a fat creature for the other should I put in there place. @Profet93 and @Qolorful and @Podma101 and NewHorizons you are always good at this you should chime in too

Oh @Podma101 i made myself a promise to never use omnath. I feel he is broken. It feels like cheating when people use him against me. There was a guy in my metta that used him as the CMDR and did some really broken things with all that mana. After that horrible experience. I promised myself to never use him. I would never want people to experience that too. Bad times. All in all he feels like cheating and anyone can make a good omnath deck.

Before I give my suggestion, I just want to be sure that you aren't using Rogue's Passage on your commander as someone did that to me and only after we realized he couldn't target his own commander.
That being said from your maybeboard you should add....
Tooth and Nail - Just too good. yes it costs 9, but it can win a game, so getting 9 in mono green can't be too difficult
Song of the Dryads - SO GOOD! Green permanent removal is amazing. Moreover, use this on their general and laugh, especially if they are playing mono red and have no way to get rid of enchantments.
As for the last card from your maybeboard, you might want to consider Traverse the Outlands for even more ramp.
August 24, 2017 2:40 a.m.
To get mana ramp, you could go with either Exploration, Oracle of Mul Daya, or Azusa, Lost but Seeking. Any one of them lets you drop lands faster on the lower end of the curve.
I'll get back to you later on others, class starting
August 24, 2017 8:01 a.m.
For big ol' beaters, I'd suggest Hydra Broodmaster, Avenger of Zendikar, or Craterhoof Behemoth.
Hydra Broodmaster gives a great source to pour mana into
With the amount of lands you drop, Avenger of Zendikar would pose a massive threat to the board
Craterhoof Behemoth needs little explanation
Also, I totally understand your opinion on Omnath, Locus of Mana. Use to play with a guy that would just dominate games for no reason other than he was playing Omnath.

I would replace Platinum Emperion with Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger
Plat doesn't stop commander damage, nor does it stop infect.
Liege of the Tangle can wreck an opponent too

@atomic_moose, If you wanted to improve upon the deck? then yes, but if you are asking me? then no. I would not change Platinum Emperion for Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger because Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger creates an unfun EDH aspect of the game.
As for Liege of the Tangle? I have always looked at the card as a high risk huge reward card. You have to hit the opponent with combat damage with that creature. Then wait a whole turn and prey that nobody wipes the board. High risk high reward. It's unlikely that you will get damage through if they don't have a board wipe and if they let damage through then you know what that means R.I.P lands...
but, in this deck there are many ways of evasion that it would be easy to connect with combat damage every time, but it's still very risky.

Ah see in my games anyone who plays Platinum Emperion attracts hate for the reason you listed not playing vorinclex. I only suggest Vorinclex because he fits the theme of big stompy, ramps, and closes that game quickly with his interaction on opponents lands.
Liege of the Tangle is more just for fun, and I wouldn't make ALL my lands creatures, just a couple. He was more or less a target other than your commander that says "shoot me not him!!!"

No the nothing can happen in the middle of a spell resolving. So he never sees the empty hands
