Yupp just added the Stony Silence to the sb just for that. Cheaper than Nevermore and will keep other artifacts at bay as well.
+1 if you like it!

Elesh Norn, super anthem and clearer of the way for your token army. also you might be able to fit in one of both of the do something lands that fit these colors Vault of the Archangel Gavony Township
April 15, 2012 11:45 p.m.
My only concern about Elesh Norn is trying to hard cast her without any ramp in the deck. I feel like most of the time she well end up as a dead card in my hand.
I definitely added the Gavony Township though. Thanks for reminding me! That'll help me keep some creatures on the field if they drop an Elesh Norn. Not to mention how punishing a few 3/3 flyers can be on their own.

Thinking about Thraben Doomsayers instead of the Blade Splicers.
Any input?

Lingering Souls > Gather the Townsfolk. I'd swap the fourth townsfolk for a full set of souls.
April 16, 2012 4:41 p.m.
you should throw some Cloudshift in, they would synergize with Geist-Honored Monk's enter the battlefield ability

Added the 4th Lingering Souls thx landgraftb
Cloudshift may be an option when it comes out.. ill have to play test with it a little.. but it will also work well with the Blade Splicers

I would take out Gavony Township because it just seems impractical since this deck takes a few turns to ramp up. I may also recommend taking out Blade Splicer since this isn't a splicers deck and it wouldn't really help for 2 Geist of Saint Traft and with those Gavony Township removed you may out in Drogskol Captain since it'll help your spirits more But all in all this deck is impressive. Covers a lot of weaknesses decks have and using soul tokens deals with both vampires and spirits decks.

I agree with you on the Gavony Townships. During play testing they've wound up as a dead cards most of the time so I -2 Gavony Townships and +2 Vault of the Archangels.
Blade Splicer is mostly there for her token producing. With a Parallel Lives and/or an Intangible Virtue out she can really swing the game in my favor. So she's gonna stay for now.
I love the idea of using Geist of Saint Traft, but I cant justify splashing blue just for him. I may have to build a new deck just to abuse him with Parallel Lives though lol.

awesome name love motley crew :-) hopefully that was a reference to the rock band anyway! :-) I would maybe add some Oblivion Ring at least in the side board for that scary creature that appears or something similar that just wrecks ya
April 17, 2012 10:24 a.m.
haha thanks dude. It wasn't a reference to the band, although Motley Crew is awesome lol. It was from the flavor text of Intangible Virtue.
so maybe swap the Celestial Purges for a few Oblivion Rings?

This deck looks viable, and could possibly kick ass, in standard format I was looking to make something like this, great deck +1

Awesome! Good luck dude.. Lemme know how it plays for ya.. I could use another perspective on things haha
April 17, 2012 11:18 p.m.
yea swapping out the purge is probably a good call i would say that you may only need 3 of the Vault of the Archangel too as more than 1 in play will b pointless as you will never activate both really. maybe increase the qty of one of the duals by 1 to improve mana bar that it looks really nice, surely avacyn restored will have loadsa shinies for you to add i want so much of it already lol
April 18, 2012 3:22 a.m.
Yupp there's plenty I want already lol.. i think Moonsilver Spear will be effing amazing in this deck

Instead of running the 2nd Elspeth Tirel I ran a Garruk, Primal Hunter. I'l see how it goes. Also running 2 Sunpetal Grove and 2 Razorverge Thicket

You wouldn't have to add blue lands because of Birds of Paradise.

i have a similar parallel lives build and i run 2 and i would consider one or the other.
April 21, 2012 11:25 a.m.
thanks for reminding me of !
I'd much rather have flyer's
i also removed 3 Gather the Townsfolk and added 3 Mortarpods after i realized the germ token reacts with both Parallel Lives and Intangible Virtue

I've noticed that games with token decks tend to take a while to finish, so you'll have plenty of time to cast fatties. I would highly consider Batterskull as part of the deck, maybe in place of Mortarpod. The life gain is just so crazy.
I wouldn't recommend Cloudshift though, or at least not more than maybe 2 copies. You won't want it in your hand if all of your creatures are tokens.

Yes but the germ is a 0/0 as soon as its Parallel Lives'd it'll just die lol.

This looks absolutely brutal. My only concern is Ratchet Bomb. It is a very commonly used sideboard card and it tears away most token deck.
That's why i sideboard Nevermore.
