This is my take on Mowu, Loyal Companion. After playing a couple of times and realizing how hard is to play it as a voltron commander, I decided to give it a twist and include some friends that would not only be a threat by themselves, but also help overcome Mowu's weakneses. This is a semi-casual deck.

Mowu's Weakneses:

Sacrifice: If your only creature is Mowu, is very weak to sacrifice, specially with cards like Dictate of Erebos which could neutralize completely our game plan. But also creatures such as Fleshbag Marauder, Plaguecrafter and many more. The answer is to include more creatures. Instead of Ramp spells like Cultivate or Kodama's Reach, I've included ramp spells that put a creature in play: Growth Spasm, Springbloom Druid, Wood Elves. And also I've included constant Eldrazi Spawn creators, you can use them as colorless mana, as sacrifice answer or even pump one of them to make it a threat Awakening Zone.

Flyers: In most Mowu decks there's no answer to flyers. Always the best answer is to directly attack the player with flyers in play, but sometimes they can be overwhelming and I have included some extra specific answers: Bow of Nylea, Arasta of the Endless Web.

Losing control of Mowu: If another player takes control of Mowu, Loyal Companion is very hard to recover from that. That's where the Friends come in play.

Mowu's Friends

Friends are creatures that can eventually win the game by themselves and also help Mowu, Loyal Companion in his task or take advantage of the same synergies.

• Avenger of Zendikar Almost an auto include in green by default but often excluded in this deck. The Avenger can make a lot of plant tokens but also pump them. This deck makes that process extra fast making him a huge threat
• Arasta of the Endless Web This lady is awesome, your opponents won't put attention to her and it will keep you safe from flyers.
• Steelbane Hydra This hydra really powerful, he can remove all the taxes and sacrifice engines.
• Verdurous Gearhulk He pumps Mowu but also can be pumped by other spells and trample his way to our opponents
• Thorn Mammoth A constant removal with legs, but also he tramples!
