Should definitely have an Eidolon of Countless Battles in there, plays well with everything plus you have Hero of Iroas to make it super cheap as well. It's good to have 2 different beefy enchantments in there to diversify your win cons and make your deck more reliable. Also I suggest taking out all the Ajani's Pridemates in place for 4 Fabled Heroes and 4 Battle Priests to make your sunbond combo more consistent.

Sorry, RaptorX72, I completely disagree. The Eidolon of Countless Battles doesn't help much in this deck as I usually only have about 3 creatures and maybe another 1/2 enchantments. It just isn't worth the drop of something. Also, Ajani's Pridemate can get very big very fast. It isn't funny how ridiculous he's been in some of my games. He definitely deserves 4 slots, and the cards you recommended are to mana expensive. The combo isn't the most important part of the deck, just an interesting little extra to a good life gain build. I hope you don't take offence, this is just what I have decided and many people in comments have told me. Sorry if I seem hostile.

I ran this last week at my local FNM and I must say this deck CAN do pretty good. The turn 4 wins do not happen frequently or I have terrible luck in draws. I enjoyed this deck a lot though. I am running this deck again tommorrow with a few changes I think could improve it.

I think that Daxos of Meletis could be great in this deck (or at least the sideboard). The life gain is good with sunbond and he has a form of evasion.

I'd replace Triton Shorestalker with Gudul Lurker. It's just plain better.
April 6, 2015 2:08 p.m.
AtomicNova I'm having the same problem. Tell me what you change, because I'm thinking the deck needs something to save it.
somebodyrandom-Daxos of Meletis is in the sideboard
alexanderthegreat-forgot that card existed. Thanks!

hey AtomicNova do you still run the deck? I would really appreciate the list of changes you made if you have the time. Thanks!

So this or your green variant on this deck? I honestly can't tell what runs better and more consistently Minelia5
May 31, 2015 11:12 a.m.
yeah audicia45 this is my green and white non-budget version.
May 31, 2015 5:21 p.m.
I was saying more like which of the decks do you prefer? they both have good perks but i cant decide which i want to run
May 31, 2015 7:27 p.m.
ahh I think that the green white version is better, but definitely not a budget deck. As I said in a much earlier comment (that I removed not your fault for missing it), this deck is probably better power level, and the other is probably better power for money level.
May 31, 2015 8:01 p.m.
ohh whooops I misread your comment earlier, and thought I was on the other deck :P super embarrassing.
May 31, 2015 8:02 p.m.
Have you given any more thought on what replaces hero of Iroas?
June 1, 2015 11:37 a.m.
wow sorry man I just never saw your comment :/
looking at the cards currently in origins, I like Knight of the White Orchid and Archangel of Tithes. I plan on making a whole new deck pretty much remaking this and turning it towards enchantments now because of origins. Again, sorry for not noticing :P

Hey man,
I am planning on buying your deck on magic online and try it out there for a bit. Since you have such a clear cut Sideboard I was gessing there would be some standard cards you switch out when you go to blue, I was wondering which those were?
Thanks!

I feel like the main strategy wouldn't actually work the way you said it will. Please correct me if I'm wrong:
"Turn 4: Turn Four: Plains, Sunbond + Ordeal of Heliod on Fabled Hero. Swing with for 30 damage with him!"
Sunbond on Fabled Hero (FH) makes FH a 3/3. Ordeal of Heliod (OOH) on FH makes FH a 4/4. So now FH has two +1/+1 counters on it. Now if I attack, OOH puts another one on FH, which makes FH a 5/5, and which means FH also now has three +1/+1 counters on it. Which, according to OOH, means I now sacrifice OOH, which triggers the OOH "gain 10 life" effect. Because FH is enchanted with Sunbond, FH now supposedly gets ten +1/+1 counters on it (making it a total power/toughness of 15/15). But I attacked with FH BEFORE he got those ten +1/+1 counters, so wouldn't he still be a 5/5 at the time of his attacking?

Nevermind, I confirmed with a MTG judge that the strategy would indeed work the way you said it would (I'm a bit of a noob). So, I have built the deck, because it is really, really, really great (and shockingly cheap for how great it is). And tomorrow I'm going to try it against my as yet undefeated (in casual play) mono green deck. I'm rooting for your deck, haha.

Maikello. I'll try, but I'm kind of lame with my sideboard.A general side is
In: 2x Aqueous Form, 2x Daxos of Meletis, 2x Gudul Lurker, 3x Island
Out: 3x Plains, 2x Ordeal of Heliod, 2x Phalanx Leader, 2x Nyx-Fleece Ram.
Hope this helps! I'm kind of pathetic with this as I already said.

I love this deck but how do i beat control? I'm pretty sure you don't have to sideboard basic lands Correct me if I'm wrong.
August 8, 2015 9:26 p.m.
not sure actually. I'd mess around with the sideboard if you meta is more control oriented. More protection maybe?

I just read this topic about the lands so I'll add my 15 cents: While, in limited, you don't have to name Basics in your Decklist you want to sideboard in, in Constructed you have to. If you have 3 Islands in your Deck after Sideboarding and should get deck checked at some point and you don't have the islands on your deck list, you're out. In constructed you have to name 15 cards in the sideboard and all other than these 15 are illegal.Same goes if you want to go up a land for some match ups, you need to have it in your sideboard.

wwaaaaaaaaaaat? suislecalme I think what cooplaa meant was that he didn't think I needed to put islands in my deck when I sideboarded. I disagree, I prefer consistency.

Honetly idk how much play it would get, maybe it would work if you had fetchlands in the deck but without those idk if you would be able to get the colors that easily. So you run 4 coves, 15 plains, and 2 fountains for the main board, then in the side boared you got 3 waters. I just dont see it happening that easily
