Celestial Flare , Doom Blade , Far / Away , Hero's Downfall , Last Breath , etc... Have you actually been to FNM with this deck?

Pssh, I will have my brothers, and uncle check this out and give me their criticism, plus they know what my local meta has in store for me.

maybe one or two Dragonshift for your 1/1 elementals. It might help out to finish any late game. You only need 2 elementals, 1 Young Pyromancer and 1 Nivix Cyclops to swing for twenty and odds are you'll have more than that out there on turn six or later. Plus casting it gives you another elemental. Just a thought, +1 for Izzet!

No, if you have your entire deck in your hand you will win that race, but if you have 3 cards in your hand you get 1 good hit with the cyclops, and then he goes back to being a defender. If you can't answer threats, you can't hope to outrace someone whose creature always attacks, whereas yours only attacks when you have a spell. Not only that, but you won't always have those creatures with as few as you run, so you need to be able to slow the game down enough to draw into something that will stick on the field.

This is an okay combo deck, but don't be misled. It's hit or miss, and very much a combo dependent deck. Nivix Cyclops + unblockable and double strike is a game-ending combo, but you assume you can just T3 a nivix and have him stay alive to a wealth of removal spells that are very common right now in standard. I used to run a similar quick-win deck, and this combo was a lot stronger with Wild Guess + Artful Dodge . Now that you require anti-synergistic Aqueous Form , it's more of a shot in the dark deck against a deck you'd probably already stomp anyway.
This deck might be better once Born of the Gods comes out if it has a few add-in cards, but don't be misled into believing this is competitive at your local FNM. It's cheap and can be a fun, quick win, but I think it's being a bit more optimistic to shoot for more than that.
Also, on the constructive end, why not Quicken ? It helps with minor card ramp and can help you to get the cards you need when you need them, as well as make Armed / Dangerous instant-speed so you don't have to declare it before attacking. I also think 22 lands is very optimistic since you're splashing two colors with guildgates.
As osang21 mentions, it's very hit or miss. I think if you're looking for a more consistent combo deck, Fabled Hero + Gods Willing with azorius or boros splash is a far more effective deck in standard right now.

I agree 100% with what asodiuj said. Only reason why I'm not going to FMN with Nivix Cyclops right now. But I didn't like the Wild Guess + Artful Dodge combo, just because I relied on Shock and Pillar of Flame . Or have that Mizzium Skin /Dispel ready for that incoming Doom Blade to deny you! I relied on one mana spells. If we had Gutshot I'd have used it and anything of the sort. Screw life! Win or lose turn! How I played.

same observation, too combo dependent AND the way needs to be cleared for Cyclops to deal damage. I recreated this deck and pitted it against my BBB deck (iRL) and there are not enough creatures. The two token generators (Pyromancer) won't stay long enough on the board. Either increase them for a possible Dragonshift
later in the game, or maybe swap with Guttersnipe
?.
Also, you can't count too much on a 1/4 Defender if you're going against Deathtouch or Lifelink creatures. The latter will allow your opponent to simply keep attacking you for 1-3 points every turn, and they'll love it! :)

I decided to wait until BoTG comes out, due to new card into the cycle, and get familiar with them and put some in.

@osang21 This is a more consistent izzet deck. it often wins T4-6 if not then you had a terrible hand. You will more then likely go 2-1 at FNM with this deck due to terrible hands.
