Meet Dorothy, the floating murdergeist. The idea here is to play Dorothy as soon as possible (almost always turn two) then begin slugging opponents for chunks of commander damage every turn thereafter. If you're familiar with my decks, you know I prefer flavor over power. Dorothy is no exception. With this build, Dorothy is going to flicker in and out of existence like a ghost in a dimly-lit hotel hallway and gouge her opponents with whatever sharp things she can find. In order to keep Dorothy around for all her murdering, we have to address that pesky "sacrifice at end of combat" trigger. To do this, we play dozens of flicker/phasing effects that remove Dorothy from play before her sacrifice trigger resolves. Conveniently, these same spells also protect Dorothy from hostile effects that target her. Even counterspells like Stifle, Disallow or Trickbind can protect our own board or counter Dorothy's sacrifice trigger if we don't have a better option in hand. Let me be the first to tell you that stifling your own creature is hilarious and more people should do it.

Of course, Dorothy does best when she has a form of permanent evasion with her, such as Gift of Immortality, Teferi's Veil, Vanishing, Robe of Stars, or Assault Suit. We play a healthy suite of cheap, high value dig spells to find at least one of these pieces.

We run these three equipment and heritage specifically for their low cost and to raise Dorothy's power to at least seven, putting a three turn clock on each of our opponents. This means a turn three Dorothy that swings for 7 will delete an opponent by turn five if all goes to plan. If all doesn't go to plan, well we had fun trying, didn't we.

While Dorothy can sometimes block, it's never a guarantee that we'll have the resources/effects to let her. Or she might be phased out. Or we might be facing creature swarm. Whatever the case, we run a fair number of answers to being commander killed ourselves:

Overall, this deck is a blast to play for two reasons. One, your opponents consistently chuckle when you burn cards like Stifle or Displace just to stop Dorothy from killing herself. Two, pretty soon after those early game chuckles, Dorothy becomes a real spooky ghost as she flickers in and out of play and swings for lethal chunks of commander damage.
