Cheers! Thank you a lot for your help, too. The Auriok line is definitely great! :)

this is a very solid list. I wonder what the red version looks like

Hbot4life you can find the rest list in the Red vs. White section of the primer! :)

I'm confused when comparing your list to the list you link for the "red" variant. the red variant isnt even a hermit druid combo and from what I can see other than generating infinite mana to draw the whole deck I dont see how red adds anything to this strat.

Nazjin2006 This deck isn't really to be labelled a Hermit Druid deck. Sure we run him but he's not the main winner here. Cast Buried Alive first gives us the safe path out first, and we then have Druid as a backup if Buried Alive is interrupted.
The red version goes right for the Buried Alive line to stuff infinite mana into the yard with no backup.

You say your lack of red takes away Imperial Recruiter, but white gives you Recruiter of the Guard, which is basically the same thing (it gets a Hermit Druid).

didn't this list have an alternate name when sinkhole was the featured card?

Academy Rector plus Omniscience is a combo U could put in
February 11, 2017 9:41 a.m.
Entrei while that combo is superpowerful in the right deck, I'm not sure it fits here. With a severe lack of sac outlets for the rector, and Omni's huge CMC, it would be somewhat inefficient, especially when compared to shooting off fast combos in the early game. I appreciate the suggestions though!

What is the purpose of Entomb in your list as you do not have it listed as a tutor?
I can see a line of play where you would entomb hermit druid to reanimate it on T2 for following the combo line on T3, but not much outside of that. You could also use it to assemble what you need in the yard if you got hit with a lucky wheel for example, but given second and most ideal combo requires three cards, that seems somewhat unlikely.
Is there another use for it?
Perhaps you could consider replacing it with Grim Tutor or (budget) Shred Memory to locate your combo faster.
February 11, 2017 11:08 a.m.
Perhaps Training Grounds over Carpet of Flowers or a similar conditionally useful card

on another note, the Doomsday + Gitaxian Probe + Thought Scour+ Laboratory Maniac + a reanimation spell would work if this deck works how i think it does

if you would replace Toxic Deluge with Black Sun's Zenith, you might want to run atraxa. Other than being straight value, it proliferates. if nothing else, Mana Vault would be good for more early mana.

Why no ad naus? Even with 2 seven drops your curve is very tight.
February 11, 2017 9:18 p.m.
Lilbrudder Ad Nauseam hurts way too much with Phantasmagorian in the list. I have been trying with swapping him out for Haunted Dead, which can also replace Fatestitcher and Narcomoeba, freeing up two slots but adding "1B, discard two cards" to my Buried Alive and Hermit Druid lines.
Wurmlover Toxic Deluge is a straight upgrade to Black Sun's Zenith, so I'm not sure why I would do that. Running Atraxa also means we lose our infinite mana outlet in the command zone, so she is just straight up worse for the deck. Mana Vault proved to be OK in testing, but no better than Sol Ring or Mana Crypt, so I cut it for better cards.

Looks good! Will give this list a play or two myself if you don't mind!

It hurts to read some of these comments. Looking forward to jamming haunted dead with you

This looks like garbage. 18 tutors, go play modern the reason you play a 100 card singleton deck is for the randomness. If you just stuff your deck full of searches your just bypass the purpose of commander.

nobdy05 The purpose of this deck is to win, not to have fun. If you would like to see a casual deck, please divert your attention towards my 9CMC Grozoth Tribal...

over all thanks for the list, i won my last cedh fnm with this deck.
February 14, 2017 8:02 a.m.
Have you considered running Walking Ballista as a win-con that doesn't rely on labman? It works well with Auriok Salvagers and gives you a good infinite mana sink, even after you've played it.

Will you still be able to win if dread return get countered after HD activation?
February 25, 2017 7:34 a.m.
markszncd If Dread Return gets countered after a Hermit Druid activation, you can use Memory's Journey to get a janky win with Laboratory Maniac.
