On the combo line for flash hulk, you say you can target Walking Ballista with Dread Return to win with the above line. Do you mean target Necrotic Ooze, as I don't believe you could win simply with Walking Ballista and a draw wizard. Can you please explain this to me?

Cast Flash and choose Protean Hulk in your hand. Refuse to pay the cost on Flash so Protean Hulk dies. With his ability, you fetch Cephalid Illusionist, Nomads en-Kor, Hapless Researcher, Grand Abolisher, and another 1 cmc creature to the battlefield.

Don't know why but this bothers me as all the cards you already mentioned = 6 cmc already and you cant find another 1 cmc unless of course you have any of the creatures mentioned already

Why Vizier over Melira? Green Sun and Summoner's Pact can't grab Vizier if that's the line.

On a separate note, was Bloodghast cut from the deck? Putting this together realized I didn't have it in.

AgentSquishy: Melira doesn't allow -1/-1 counters to be put on creatures. As such, you physically can't pay for the ability. Vizier just reduces the number of -1/-1 counters put on creatures.

AgentSquishy as above said, you can't pay the cost on devoted druid with melira, whereas you can with vizier.

bloodghast was cut or can be swapped out for Fatestitcher

Have you ever considered Cabal Therapy as a one card discard and sac outlet for hulk? Is it too narrow?

September 14, 2017 10:39 p.m.

tenrose says... #11

Archwizard yes indeedy, the reason i don't run it here is because it's only really good when its cast from your graveyard. at that stage (post-hermit) you're past the point where you can hulk at all. i would like to include it, but there's no slots available currently.

Sugesstions: Gemstone Caverns, Exotic Orchard, and Demonic Consultation.Gemstone Caverns allows for a turn earlier win. As you are running a 4 color deck Exotic Orchard will most likely be a dual land if not better. Demonic Consultation If you put both Fatestitcher and Bloodghast in your list is a turn eariler [Hermit Druid] combo. The way this would work would be turn one land that taps for black, and turn two Demonic Consultation naming Mountain milling your whole deck due to your lack of Mountain. Then this put Narcomoeba into play then play a land that taps for blue putting Bloodghast into play then tap that land for blue and unearth Fatestitcher. After this simply Dread Return them and target your Necrotic Ooze and performe the Hermit Druid line.Budgeting: I am on a budget and woud not like to buy the duals. To replace them I have considered artifact lands as I can fetch them and also fast lands because they tap for two colors. As you have more experience with this deck I was hoping you could help me decide which option would be better. Thank you.

Also why no Doomsday line? Couldn't you use your Doomsday to mill your deck and perform the Necrotic Ooze combo?

nvm I see.

The twister loop after bomberman is correct? I don't get how you deck opponents. maybe am i missing something?

November 26, 2017 2:37 a.m.

tenrose says... #17

JackBattle Yes, you can only do loops once you have infinite mana and Thrasios. You deck your opponents by forcing them to draw two cards per cast of Deep Analysis.

KTvsPeacock says... #18

But this doesn't work. You force them to draw two cards, but after the Timetwister, they're back at seven again.

This is obviously a very strong deck. My questions are generally with regards to weaknesses/limitations.

How often and how badly is the gameplan affected when you draw into cards you want in your graveyard without discard outlets?

Like most people, I probably wont be able to get my hands on a Timetwister. How important is it in the deck and what cards can I cut off if I remove the Timetwister line? I am hoping to replace it with Ad Nauseamand Angel's Grace.

I am also thinking of converting my Thrasios Tymna deck to a build closer to this one.

KTvsPeacock aye, I realised this during the week but didn't update the description. Instead, you can use various cards in the deck with Memory's Journey to loop Deep Analysis. There's also a spicy Deathrite Shaman loop.

Megalomania I'll have to get back to you tomorrow.

Megalomania Sorry for the late response.

Q: How often and how badly is the gameplan affected when you draw into cards you want in your graveyard without discard outlets?

A: It depends how many you've got. If you only have one or two, then going straight for the Hermit Druid line is a safe bet as you can cast Cabal Therapy to discard what you need.

Q: Like most people, I probably wont be able to get my hands on a Timetwister. How important is it in the deck?

A: Timetwister isn't as required as the rest of the cards in this list. It's a very very good card by default, but will only ultimately play a role in a line if you run other Out cards. I have updated the description under Bomberman to include other Outs.

Q: ...and what cards can I cut off if I remove the Timetwister line?

A: Not many. The deck doesn't revolve around Timetwister. You should be fine to replace Timetwister and another card in the list for Ad Nauseam and Angel's Grace. Sigi's list actually runs those cards, so it might be worth checking his list out.

"I am also thinking of converting my Thrasios Tymna deck to a build closer to this one."

You should! This deck is very fast and very fun. You will love it, I'm sure.

can you use elixir of immortality and windfall instead of twister to do the twister loop?

December 12, 2017 11:01 p.m.

animeno says... #25

Hi, I find that every now and again I'll draw on or two cards that are important to the combo meaning that I usually wait until I mill then flashback cabal therapy. However, if you don't have creatures on the field or you don't have enough to both pay for cabal and dread return what would you say is the best thing to do in a situation like this?
