Maybeboard

The most gourmet mushrooms are, afterall, found in the trash (no they are not, do not eat trash mushrooms) This Golgari mushroom deck is less Fungus tribal and much more "99 ways to prepare mushrooms unsafely" This deck says "Have a problem? Throw a mushroom at it!" With Mycotyrant's ability you'll be speed shovelling your deck into the furnance that is your commander in order to make thousands of little sporlings in order to fuel your several strategies. That alone with your commander is a terrifying mushroom millitia that can swing for way too much commander damage as well as way too much regular damage. Now if you know anything about playing a token swarm deck, its way too easy to get wrath'd especially with swarms of tiny little 1/1s where a "1 damage across the board" will send your tokens into not even the trash, but rather the "token timeout zone" Thats where this deck excels. Rather than holding onto your babies like a little helicopter parent, you, much like many momma birds, will be throwing your beautiful babies straight out the nest and ontop of your enemies. Your mushrooms, through the various sacrifice engines and even some ETB engines will constnatly hit "Impact Tremor" and "Blood Artist" effects as they come and go in order to pay for Discard, destory, and mill effects. Speaking of pay, cards like "Growing Rites of Itlimoc" and "Insidious Roots" will make it so your very tokens will be the ones paying for their own self destruction! Your enemies will be constantly antagonised when your field empty AND full! Other cards such as "Skullspore Nexus" and "Grave pact" will make it so that besides the drain effects from touching your precious cannon-fodder, your more beloved monstrosities will all get frakensteined into one big dinobaby thats some how even more horrifying. Your enemies are gonna need nothing short of a "Farewell" to put you in the ground (which, by the way, just don't overextend, and its fine. I like building my board like its Legos too but that spell will punish your hubris)If you play proper, your board will be set up in a way that your board is too buff to ignore, but too dangerous to remove! Like a fungal infection thats fused with your collective pod's spinal columns. In summary, your basically playing mushroom aristocrats. This was originally a Mycotyrant EDH deck inspired by Commander's Quarters, MaldHound, and GrazzetMTG. It was later influenced by some other decks such as "Selfmill like a Lunatic" by ChrispyMTG and landed here. This deck runs all permenants to maxamise recursability as well as descend. There is no deeper and crueler pleasure than sliding 20 cards into your garbage and then pinging the entire table for 40. That being said, it might SERVE to have some sorceries or instants in this deck, but in practice I genuinely believe if you can sub a sorcery/instant with a permanent, do it.
