A deck meant to kill everyone, preferably in a massive blast of fire. It is multiplayer focused and Suicidal RED!

Mutually Assured Destruction (M.A.D.) is a doctrine of war. It in, all sides in a conflict use high yield weaponry. This ensures the utter destruction of the attacker and defenders. This doctrine is based on the deterrence theory. That while no one attacks, then everyone continues to live.

I've built a number of Red Decks, mostly burn or creature decks. I wanted something different. This is the result of that desire. While I've come across decks that are similarly themed, they hold back on one element: themselves. I do not spare myself (though I have one or two outs). Burning yourself out is actually a kind of win for this deck. Do not care is the key here. You are trying to blast yourself and everyone else away. Revel in the flame.

Magma Phoenix is the weapon of choice here. It is hardly the only thing doing any work through. Ashling the Pilgrim is a recent addition for even more blasting glory.Guttersnipe + Flame Rift/Flameburst/Fling/Rupture is powerful enough. Add in the Furnance of Rath to any of that and the damage is ramped up. Mix in the Basilisk Collar on the Magma Phoenix or Ashling the Pilgrim with a Fling and you are recovering and not dying.

Mana Flare is an interesting bit. It gives you time and more mana. Of everything, in the deck, it is most likely to be sideboarded for something else. It is mostly in to help fuel the classic Earthquake . Volcanic Fallout is there to act as a quick shot more than anything.

Magic Origins had a hidden gem that fits with this deck VERY WELL: Pyromancer's Goggles. At 5 cost, it is expensive, but the set up it allows it glorious. Use the mana from the Goggles to power a Flame Rift or part of a massive Earthquake for a much faster win. It will still draw a lot of aggro so be wary when you use it.
