I'm feeling like this needs more control, but I'm not sure if it's in the form of board control or counters. I'm also maybe considering just trying to add more card advantage.

This is made of cards I own, so some of the card distribution is wacky. Most wins come from an unblockable Consuming Aberration + Rogue's Passage at one-swing lethal damage, or from Consuming Aberration + Essence Harvest . Most Mastermind's Acquisitions are for aberration. I feel like the deck is very fluid when I play it, and I think that's really fun. Nightveil Specter feels kind of slow and unnecessary, but it's very fun and I thought about running 2-3. I'm uncertain; It could also just stand to be replaced with card advantage or board control.

Regarding control, I've considered cards like Death's Approach or Tragic Slip for removal. Maybe Cyclonic Rift or similar return to hand cards. These could even take the place of Fog Bank, considering that exists only to keep me safe while I mill. Counters could obviously be things like Essence Scatter, Negate, or maybe Nullify for enchantment safety, etc.

One Phenax would be hilariously fun with Consuming Aberration on the board, but I think it'd be very clunky mana-wise.

In summary, probably replace some of the control that exists with different control cards. Maybe replace Fog Bank with board removal, maybe replace Nightveil Specter with cantrips/tutors/scry (maybe Opt or more Visions of Beyond). Fewer creatures forcing my opponent's removal would demand I have adequate counters.
