All ur base are belong to graveyard

Basically, this focuses on milling your opponent. It can win in two ways - decking the opponent, or beating down with creatures that get stronger as the opponent's graveyard gets bigger.

  • Against creature-heavy aggro, this deck shines. It's not uncommon to drop a 5/5 Wight of Precinct Six by turn three, especially if you boarded in Tome Scour. By milling them every turn, you can quickly overwhelm them as your creature grows faster than theirs does. Death's Approach also keeps them at bay.
  • Against control, it's much more likely that you'll win by milling. It's also much less likely you'll win game one. Without creatures going into the graveyard, this deck slows down a lot. Board in the Sadistic Sacraments and try to keep your Consuming Aberration on the field to maximize its usefulness.
To make it a more "Mill and Kill"-focused deck, board in Nighthowler and Avatar of Woe. To make it more control-ish, board in Psychic Strike.

Essence Harvest probably needs to make it in here somewhere, but I don't know what should come out. I've also considered splashing White for Path to Exile, which would help weed out some lands.

Considering: Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank or Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank

Updates Add

I'm getting rid of Traumatize. It's a really cool card, but it just comes out way too slow. Lots of the time, when I get to 5 mana, half their library is no more than what a Breaking / Entering would mill, so it's just a waste of mana. Augur of Bolas is working out great, so I'm going to put a few more of those in, and maybe consider springing for a Hedron Crab in the future.
