This is true. I was just trying to help. I don't see a whole lot enchantment removal. Maybe Beast Within?

No worries, it's appreciated. Beast Within isn't fantastic, since it leaves the target with fodder for Smokestack or The Abyss. If for whatever reason, I didn't have Putrefy I'd run it. However, Hero's Downfall would probably go in sooner, for similar reasons.

what role does Dryad Arbor play? The Green Sun's Zenith combo is cute, but not overly powerful. It seems rather underwhelming and fragile...

Dryad Arbor is straight up utility. It is fetchable. It gets around "Target player sacrifices a creature". As well as acts as an unexpected chump blocker if they attack with a big thing w/o trample. It also can be used to sac to your own Stax cards (especially if they target just creatures, like The Abyss). It serves a lot of purposes.

Why would you willing sacrifice a land if you could sacrifice a creature? Plus it has summoning sucks, so its a bit of a tempo loss.

It allows crucible to uphold Contamination.it helps trigger grave pact. Like juicy said, it oozes utility.

Congratulations! I've been hoping no one would notice that I ran rampant growth instead. I haven't found a copy yet, but I'm looking.

@AlexoBn I haven't bought it yet. Money has been going to other stuff.
@Weirdhat it's not as good as Master.

have you considered running Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed? I feel like he oozes utility enough to warrant inclusion.

what if you need to block fliers, and the vampire tokens can do damage in the air.

almalong Xiahou Dun, is one of my favorite cards and I'm debating on building MBC with him at the helm. Sadly, he costs 1 more than Eternal Witness, is less versatile and worst of all, can't be found off GSZ for consistency's sake.
Weirdhat Bitterblossom is a great card.

those die to Illness in the Ranks. They need more toughness.

wierdhat This is my take on why he isnt running Keeper: Youre sacing the bitterblossom tokens most of the time to things like Contamination, The Abyss, Smokestack, and Call to the Grave.. The deck rarely keeps a creature board state until it has a lock, in which case... you have a lock. Getting the lock is more important than keeping your tokens from getting wiped, and the 2 extra mana for bloodline keeper will slow you down too much in comparison to bitterblossom. Not to mention, you are often the one resolving Pox and Damnation.
(No, I did not design the deck, and yes the list I run is about 15% different, but I've played the shell many, many, times.)

Gspot: Will you add From Beyond? I know it has a 4 cmc, but the tokens are their own sac engine and add mana. I find that with either Awakening Zone or From Beyond with gravepact up is very hard for the majority of opponents to get over. Having the second copy of awakening zone might be useful? Just asking. I already run it in my list (and I added an eldrazi titan, but i'm not
Anyhow Just wanted to say thanks again for sharing the idea- I love my deck, and only need three cards for it now (The Abyss, Nether Void, and gravepact).

I have one in my binder and I've been considering it. The problem being that I don't know what card to cut. But like you said, instant speed gravepact triggers, and extra mana are bonkers.

Awesome deck! I have yet to meet this commander on the battlefield.
Would Descent into Madness be good in this deck or is it too slow?

It was in at one point. It's not too slow, rather I can't control how far the counters go add to that that if an opponent needs to protect their board they'll just exile cards in hand or vice versa. It sometimes gets put in because once it's out of control I can exile it, but it's really sub-par.

Hello,
First of all, good job for all the work you made on this deck/archetype.I was looking for something like that to help me out with my idea of golgari stax deck <3.I see in the changelog you made a version that complies the french banlist: I assume it isn't this one since you play sol ring, mana vault, ...Do you have an alternative version that answer the french rules I didn't see/find ?Other question is about mana: 35 lands is really enough with the new mulligan and the stax effect ?In most of my deck I'm running 37-40 lands and i'm not always happy about how it comes out so i'm really surprised to see 35lands even with ramps Thx in advance for the answers =D

Thanks a bunch!
The french version ran more target discard and more mana dorks to adjust for the lack of sol ring. Since necropotence, survival, skullclamp, demonic/vampiric tutors and yawgwill where banned Both were replaced with Dark Tutelage, draw spells such as Night's Whisper and spot removal like Putrefy and Abrupt Decay. Braids is unbanned so she is an auto include. and Waste Not, while I'm on the fence about it in multiplayer, It seems fine in 1v1. I also think in Duel commander Grave Titan is a fine card to run, since it will likely just end the game.
The land count has been fine at one point it was 33, but I felt that was a tad too low. I have 14 other mana sources, the deck only needs about 5 mana to do what I want anything else is diluting the deck where I could have an action spell.

They don't remove the permanents. Song would go in before lignify, but I already have acess to Maelstrom Pulse and Putrefy, two very diverse removal spells.
