black Market is Really weird with our curve, and doesn't do much to ramp the deck into the Stax pieces. If you're building with Death cloud as an endgame, it's a fine addition but Personally I think Frontier Siege is miles ahead of Market.

My buddy just told me about rule #4 change. With mana burn being relevant in edh black market is out of the question.

Mana burn isn't a thing. That's not what rule 4 was.

Ok, i will correct him tomorrow then and actually read it myself. Hey endstep what's your opinion on Crop Rotation? I like it but i didn't like losing card advantage. The versatility is great tho for gabbing Bojuka Bog, Gaea's Cradle, and Strip Mine at instant speed.

I ran it, and honestly It could go back in if I need gravehate, grabbing cradle/ancient tomb for ramp is just gas, and it can fetch tons of things.

Surprise regen with Yavimaya Hollow Lol. My favorite is Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to set up a surprise Pox and to fix our colorless/green along with letting us tap our fetch lands of were short on mana

Yeah getting Yavimaya hollow at instant speed can be such a huge blow out. I haven't had space to run Crop Rotation, But that doesn't mean you or anyone else playing the deck couldn't find space for it In a flex slot.

Dude Torpor Orb put in so much work last night. I really need a way to deal with ghave out-tokening me and dropping aura shards. He had his own Grave Pact and things got really weird.

While I loathe playing with and against stax. You get a +1 for a very well worded guide. Attention to detail was excellent.

Hey endstep, how is Orc Sureshot testing for you? Also i have massacre wurm as slot 6 in my pod chain. I needed a better 4 slot for when braids is out of the deck and i Need a 4cost to dig for Sadistic Hypnotist then wurm. Solemn Simulacrum is under playtesting. I saw you tested Mindslicer but i go into hypnotist. Did he work out?

Holtzman thanks, glad to know you liked the primer!
deadcolossus atm that's a flex slot and I'm trying a number of cards there. Slicer/sureshot are both clunky. Slicer doesn't have many on demand sac outlets to function as efficintly as he can. Sure shot is only good and killing off dorks, and is pretty slow about it. He wasn't spectacular but I might put him back.

Deathreap ritual seems good. Are you sure one of the cards weirdhat suggested will work similarly to sureshot but for 1 less mana? Also I updated my Nath list on here and did credit you endstep.

Tooth collector can only give -1/-1 whereas Sure shot can give -4/-4 if you have LotV or another discard outlet out. I don't think the 1 colorless is that detrimental.

Yeah you have a point. I was thinking lower mana costs were less clunky.

It is, but he can kill x/2s up to x/4s or multiple creatures in one turn. The biggest draw to tooth collector and massacre wurm is that they hit immediately with the -x/-x effect. I think sureshot might be the strongest of the 3, but I want to test some more. Tooth collector can single handedly pressure dorks over the course of a game, and massacre wurm kills them outright when it etbs.

I agree with your points. Where my build abuses Birthing Pod yours doesn't with curving and recursion. I actually considered Nullmage Shepherd as a possibility with tapping tokens during upkeep before they get sacked. Its a great green sun target and can give pseudo-haste to dorks/tokens etc.(especially slow cards like Dryad Arbor) and even sort of functions as another braids.

How has the changes in mulligan rules affected the consistency of the deck?
March 27, 2016 6:38 p.m.
EndStepTop says... #19
Deck got a lot out of it. My consistency wasn't effected nearly as badly as combo decks, I didn't need to add more lands and dilute my deck. Add to that most combo decks are Goldfishing degerate shit for 1-2 turns on average slower, I have more time to set up lock pieces. In short; I've been very happy with how the change effected this deck.

Does Tangle Wire really help? I remember using that and it was only good early game IF I was able to use it.

Yeah it's such a huge tempo swing when setting up locks. If you land a Fodder producer before you literally time walk the table 1 or 2 times

I really think you should mainboard Mana Web since your deck is control. And Pox is just proof of the illuminati. +1 from me

Mana web isn't great in my current meta. Most interaction is sorcery speed/creature ETB based, so Web doesn't actually hurt my opponents like it can when theres more inclusive decks. glad you like the list!

Any possible inclusions from Shadows over Innistrad?
April 4, 2016 2:07 a.m.
Indigoindigo: I feel Asylum Visitor would be cool in this deck, actually. It goes well with Nath of the Gilt-Leaf + Sadistic Hypnotist. =D

Endstep how do you like Black Market? That orc seems like a good way to keep our opponents off of dorks and tokens. And on a nice curve
