Megrim falls in the same category as Waste Not did. Its cute but not what I need. Painful Quandary doesn't help, most game people will discard land/pay the 5 life I need my discard to be consistent or be hitting combo pieces, being 5cmc doesn't help much either. Thank you for taking time to help!

This deck just seems amazing.... Have you considered Bloodghast or Gravecrawler for your sac abilities? Comboing GC with Mutavault and any of your sac outlets can be really devastating.

@Tingettley Bloodghast needing a land drop made him sub-par. Nath already can come down after most stax effects and does more then most fodder producers. In the early stages of the deck Glissa was my commander and Gravecrawler was in, but with out a zombie being available I can't justify running him. Thanks for the suggestions!

Yup. Just figured I'd suggest BG. With CoW and any fetch/ld lands, he could be really useful. But I understand your reasoning.

It's appreciated, I don't mind getting suggestions! I should do up a list of cards I've cut and have reasons for not running, probably when I rewrite the description.

Upvoted for Spheres of Madness (the title is the only reason I even looked at the deck), but the deck itself is actually awesome. I don't know if I would ever actually play it (I like my friends), but it seems pretty nasty.

Who needs friends when I have my Nihility CD and cardboard? All jokes aside, thanks for the vote & comment!

This deck is really badass. I've been looking into building Nath and this is my favorite list, so I'm taking some inspiration from it.

Will this deck function without Nether Void , The Abyss , and Liliana of the Veil ? They are all clearly strong pieces, but the price tag is just too much for me.

Finally, is Raiders' Spoils just too cute? Overall it's a pretty weak card, but since Nath and friends are Warriors you might gain some serious draw power to outrace your own stax effects.

Thanks for the compliments! For those changes,Lilly can be Necrogen Mists The Abyss can be the corresponding magus or Anowon, the Ruin Sage . Nether Void doesn't have a solid replacement, If I didn't own it, it would be another ramp piece. Utopia Sprawl was what I took out. Hope the deck works well! If you need anymore help feel free to ask.

Raiders' Spoils is pretty nice, but I'd rather run it in an elf tribal build.

Braids, Cabal Minion was banned recently.

October 26, 2014 10:39 a.m.

EndStepTop says... #16

After her ban I read the RC's reason behind removing banned as a commander and making that criteria for outright banning a card, and decided to run her anyway. I let people know she's in the deck, if they actually get mad I swap her for an SB card.

I know it's probably a terrible idea and all, but Chains of Mephistopheles?

November 13, 2014 11:36 p.m.

EndStepTop says... #18

That's far from a terrible idea, it's just chains iscruising in the 300-400 dollar range. I'd love to run it if I could get it. Thanks for the suggestion!

TCGPlayer has Chains for $275 right now. I know its still alot, but its lower than $3-400 :P I also think that if you can get one, it would be an amazing addition.

Braids got banned :(

Necrotize says... #22

Braids is only banned from being your commander IIRC.

Love this deck though. Just out of curiosity, do you ever find yourself getting low on life or cards in hand due to your own triggers or does your deck usually stop the board before life becomes an issue?

Have you considered Sadistic Hypnotist? With Nath out, it means everyone playing loses their hands and you still come out with tokens to spare.

November 25, 2014 10:18 a.m.

Pilz_753 says... #23

Necrotize Braids was recently banned completly since the RC got rid of the banned as your general rule.

November 25, 2014 10:27 a.m.

EndStepTop says... #24

Braids was "banned", because the RC wanted to "streamline the rules" and removed banned as a commander. I don't agree with that line of reasoning and simply ask people if they mind me playing her.

Most games I win, I'm at like 15-20 life if I'm lucky. and I recently added greed to the suite of draw cards for the second question. I cut Sadistic Hypnotist In favor of Sword of Feast and Famine. Hypnotist was a dead draw if i was using all of Nath's tokens to hold up a smokestack or what have you. Often getting the combo out was really costly and easily stopped, he might go back in the deck but it's up in the air right now.

Aww that's a shame. I liked Braids.

Kokusho, the Evening Star could help maybe. He is kind of on the fringes of your curve, but with all your sacrifice going on he's pretty much guaranteed to go to the grave when you want him too and can act as an evasive wincon should the board become locked down.
