Wut
Eh, it works. I shouldn't be talking.
Also, the spoilers for the second to last match-up (I think) doesn't work.

i can think of literally no good reason to play Congregation at Dawn over Chord of Calling
You get to look up 3 of them sure, but then you get to show your opponent thus letting them plan ahead around it.

It costs way too much VampireArmy. I'm never going to have the mana to cast it when I need to. We are talking about a 6 cmc spell here. I laid out the reasons why I run Congregation at Dawn over Chord of Calling in the description. Sure the opponent can plan ahead for one sideboard card, but when you hit three of them against them? They can't really do much. You try being a Junk player and knowing that your opponent's next three plays are Mirran Crusader's.

Oh man I want that forest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh god Congregation!!! o.o
Iffy on the AEther Vial.
Kinda feel like yeh could use 1-2 Scavenging Ooze so yeh have something more to vial in at 2 counters..
(Im srsly buying some promos If I pull something out of my 9 MMA2 packs.. and replace my finks with em.. Kinda getting jealous at this point whenever I face someone running them and getting 4/4 for )

That one isn't supposed to work FAMOUSWATERMELON. It's the exact same code as the one above it, so clicking on it only procs the spoiler above it. They are also just place holders for more things I'm going to be putting in.

I'll play Scavenging Ooze when podless pod becomes above 5% of the meta Ryotenchi.

then you're certainly playing it wrong but okay i guess. It's your deck.

you're telling me it's too expensive despite the fact that you have 15 sources of green, 6 of which are creatures that tap for it, 4 of which are nearly unkillable in today's near sweeperless meta.
on top of that, you're playing a creature based midrange deck. How you wouldn't be able to tap for convoke is simply beyond me. This leads me to believe you play too aggressively.
Edit : There's a reason it's a 2-of. It's meant to be there when you need it. Congregation is too slow

You're reasoning for not playing scooze is also horrible. Against any and all aggressive decks (ones like zoo, elves, mirror, ect) you get to gain life while also buffing a dude. That in itself says "kill me or die" Scooze is a bit like goyf that way. You can sit there and grow it with some smart blocks over the game and have it win single-handedly

You have to play aggressively to defeat Twin and RDW with this deck, and Jund and Junk have too many answers to be able to have a singleton card be of any use. I need to have multiple answers on the board at any given time to be able to overwhelm my opponents, and Congregation at Dawn does just that.
I have 19 lands and 6 dorks, 4 of which generally get bolted the moment they hit the field.

VampireArmy, there's no point in playing scooze just for aggressive decks because I'll just play Mirran Crusader and Worship against them. Works much better.

Spellskite? Besides, Eternal Witness and Worship once again. That and Fiendslayer Paladin.

To put it gently, please stop linking me to your decks if you're not going to give my advice proper consideration.

VA, I link people if they contribute to the version that I haven't written a description for, so when I actually write the description, I erase the old one and make a new one.
Currently having no troubles against zoo in playtests.

I don't know what you want then? I've seen the debate of chord or not at least a dozen times for this deck. It's nearly full consensus across the board to play it.
I can't say much more than that. I can be of no more use than that.

I just link people so they can see it, I'm not expecting anything from anyone. I just want them to see it.
And you are the first person to suggest Chord of Calling for this deck.

It's a growing archetype. Some people are going pod. Some are going mono green. Some are doing gw hatebears.
I think channel fireball has elves and "pod" videos up.

out of curiosity is it legal to play a path to exile with the mana cost obscured?
May 17, 2015 11:28 p.m.
Femme_Fatale says... #24
Anything about the alter that obscures anything on the card is illegal Serendipitous_Hummingbird. Even the rarity.
HOWEVER! It is entirely up to the judge to determine this. I think the judges that are accepting of alters wouldn't mind if the rarity was obscured, and they may be okay with a really well known card like Path to Exile to have its mana cost obscured. But the rules text, and name are absolute no-no's (tied for first) with the types coming up close second.

thanks femme! I've actually been experimenting with altering my own cards so it's good to know what the rules are. That is a sick PtE, btw.

Linking Ryotenchi and VampireArmy for the re-done version (I like to make an entirely new deck list when I'm doing the advertisements).
