Here is a (rather long) description of what this deck does or is supposed to do
This is the first Black and White deck i made, since i had Ajani's Pridemate and Wall of Limbs the tactic i had to choose for BnW deck was obvious: lifegain.
In order to make this deck become effective "controlled" lifegain is, in my humble opinion, better. That's the main reason i put Soulmender in it.
After some research i discovered the "extort" ability and through that i found Crypt Ghast and Pontiff of Blight. With extort this deck gains the ability to lifedrain the opponent and rapidly increasing the +1/+1 counters on AP and WoL.
Then i noticed the combo between Sanguine Bond and
Exquisite Blood
but since EB is too expensive for me at the moment and i only play with friends (a combo like that would spoil some of the fun) i chose to only get SB.When Sanguine Bond enters the field, not only does extort becomes more powerfull, but Soulmender gets really good for such a cheap card.
That's the offense part.
The protect ability from the instants are here to protect Ajani's Pridemate and Wall of Limbs and offer AP an opportunity for a direct hit on opponent. These instants also have the advantage of being low-cost giving the opportunity to play more of them, using extort multiple times/turn and thus buffing AP before he actually attacks.
