I started playing MTG in unlimited, and quit around 6th edition, then restarted playing in RTR, so needless to say I completely missed the modern era!

I am now deciding to branch off of standard to broaden my horizons into modern as well. I quite like the UWR decks, especially since there are so many varieties. I've went with a flash style, including some Geist of Saint Traft as another win condition which isnt generally in the flash versions I've seen and they have done work testing online.

This is my own build and SB after extensive testing and tweaking, which I am still in the process of doing, although it's now at a very high win % and I don't want to mess with it too much.

I've included a singleton Detention Sphere and I am happy with it so far, taking out 2 Aether Vials on turn 3 was pretty nasty. Restoration Angels as a pair in the MB to re-use Snappy's late game and sometimes they are a win-condition themselves. Pyroclasm has been updated to Anger of the Gods where it may be slightly more mana intensive, it hits for an extra point and destroys Voice of Resurgence, Kitchen Finks, Murderous Redcap and those type of annoyances!

Testing is going amazing, since I am just trying to master this deck since I don't have to continuously build new ones like Standard. I will continue to test against the gigantic meta of Modern and tweak the deck from there!

As you can probably tell I am slowly trying to foil out the deck, as I will have it to always play as my go to competitive Modern deck. It's expensive as hell and will take some time lol. Even my damn Lightning Bolt's are worth $20 each with the full art foil promo! I hate that I love shiny things haha. The Scalding Tarn's are gonna be the biggest bitch but one day they will be mine!
