Trying to do something at FNM, and not get run over by Monsters. Anybody have any suggestions? It's really fun using Isochron Scepter and Extorting it with Blind ObedienceBesides the clear advantage of having Lightning Helix & Lightning Bolt or Magma Jet and others on the Isochron Scepter... it's pretty fun to have Apostle's Blessing on one, protecting them and your Grand Abolisher from harm as well. The part I enjoy is having Blind Obedience in play, using it's extort ability to slowly dwindle down after every tapping of the isochron since it counts as a spell being played. Imagine this

Turn 1 - Plains

turn 2 - Plains+ Isochron Scepter -> exiling Silence

Turn 3 - Mountain + Isochron Scepter => exiling Apostle's Blessing

Turn 4 - Mountain + Blind Obedience

You are locked. silence on their turn, they can't play spells on your turn. The apostle's on an isochron is better to come first since it protects itself. Then you get the silence on the isochron and you are off. Get out the grand abolisher, and blind obedience. and you have the engine each turn that extorts one or two life per turn plus maybe swings of the Grand Abolisher
