Koboldly going where no dragon has gone before!

This is a Prossh, Skyraider of Kher EDH/Commander deck primarily focused on pumping out tokens and saccing them, with a light dose of Kobold tribal and Jund goodstuff. (So, a modified version of the Power Hungry Commander precon.)

As a result, it has lots of token producers (such as Prossh himself, Mycoloth, or Flesh / Blood ); lots of cards that have effects as a result of saccing those tokens (such as Grave Pact, Thromok the Insatiable , or Skullclamp); and finally cards that assist one or both of these strategies (such as Doubling Season, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Triumph of the Hordes).

There are a few oddballs in there, too - some Planeswalkers, a removal suite (since you ARE playing black and red), some stuff to dump all the mana from Braid of Fire or Ashnod's Altar into, a few cards to help protect your combo pieces, etc.

It does have a few beautiful synergies and a couple of infinite combos, which you may or may not decide to use depending on your playgroup:

  • Food Chain + Prossh, Skyraider of Kher : The big combo in Prossh decks. Sac Prossh and one of his kobolds to Food Chain, producing enough mana to resummon Prossh with the 2 colorless cost increase. Repeat until you're paying lots of mana for Prossh and pumping out scads of kobolds, then you can stop and send your kobold mobs out to kill the enemy. (Especially great if you have some of the Kobold-boosting cards!) In the meantime, you get huge amounts of value from anything that triggers when your creatures die.

  • Prossh, Skyraider of Kher + Thromok the Insatiable : Thromok has Devour X, which means that however many creatures you sac to him, he will get that many counters that many times. So, sac 1 to get 1 counter, sac 2 to get 4, 3 to get 9, 4 to get 16, etc. - basically, square whatever you sac to get the number of counters. For those who know their math, squared numbers can get very high very fast. Saccing Prossh's 6 kobolds to the Devour cost will give you a 36/36 Thromok which can almost one-hit KO an opponent. Adding Prossh gives you a 49/49 Thromok that can probably take out anyone who's not playing a lifegain deck. Combining this with the above Food Chain strategy can make for an absolutely humongous bundle of death. Both this and the above strategy are only heightened when the token or counter doublers are out.

  • Burn at the Stake + Prossh, Skyraider of Kher : Tap Prossh and his tokens to deal that amount of damage multiplied by three. With the token doublers out, this can lead to some huge swingy blowouts. (Even if you're nearly dead, pulling out Prossh will give you a ton of tokens, and then using Xenagos, the Reveler's first ability to more than pay for the cost of Burn at the Stake allows you to then tap your new creatures and deal beaucoup damage. Without token doublers and the first time Prossh is summoned, you're looking at 21 damage by tapping Prossh and co.; on a subsequent summoning and/or with doublers, it's easily feasible to do 40+ damage.)

  • Braid of Fire + Rohgahh of Kher Keep : Braid of Fire produces more red mana every turn for you during your upkeep, great for paying to keep Rohgahh on your side and boosting all your little kobold tokens. If someone disenchants your Braid and you're unable to pay the cost and do lose your kobolds, use Gruul Charm to get them all back on your side and then sac Rohgahh to one of your many sac outlets before he can switch loyalty again.

Win conditions are comboing off with Prossh and Food Chain, a zerg rush with a million tokens, or an onslaught with one enormous creature. There are enough ways to convert tokens to counters and vice versa that if they are able to block one of those strategies, you can sac to produce the other strategy for the next turn. Triumph of the Hordes can also eke out the odd infect win once in a while, too.
