Mono Red Aggro deck based on Peter Nguyen Red-Aggro Deck from Star-City Games Providence Standard Open. This deck is fantastic and has been used to take out opponents in about 6-8 rounds. It is a token/ counter deck with 1 and 2 drop creatures and lots of ways to take out large creatures and opponents. The original deck included 2X Goblin Rabblemaster and 1X Zurgo Bellstriker . I substituted Zurgo for Mardu Scout and 1X Goblin Rabblemaster for another Searing Blood simply due to cost. Mardu Scout is a 2 drop rather than Zurgo Bellstriker being a one drop, but they both do the same thing. The Mardu Scout actually hits harder with 3 damage if you can wait the extra turn to come out swinging.

Dragon Fodder, Hordeling Outburst, and Goblin Rabblemaster put a ton of tokens on the battlefield to swing with and deflect later round creatures.

Foundry Street Denizen , Goblin Heelcutter , Mardu Scout and Lightning Berserker are the creatures for swinging with.

All the other cards are used to take out opponents and player points. Spells like Lightning Strike, Wild Slash , Tail Slash , Searing Blood , Stoke the Flames, and Roast are mainly for player damage to add insult to injury. They are also effective to take out tokens, denies, and smaller creatures as they come out should the rounds get past 5 or 6.

Hall of Triumph is a great artifact that if played by round 3 just adds to the speed of taking out your opponent.

The deck functions great with three manna out. Four works too, but I've won with as little as two against a control deck and a ton of tokens and one drops.

Updates Add

The same deck that did so well last week, bombed this week. I played a mono white, mono green bees, Abzan Rhino, and mono green devotion. I won a game in every round and got my opponent down to 3 life in almost every case. I just couldn't survive the later rounds with the big creatures. Polukranos, World Eater, Arbor Colossus, Nissa, Worldwaker, and Kalonian Twingrove were the ultimate demise of the red deck against the mono green. Siege Rhino just plain sucks in Abzan. Myth Realized was tough because it never became a creature until necessary. Need a way to counter enchantments is the bottom line but that defeats the purpose of having an aggro deck.
