I built this deck in response to my friends Hydra mana-ramp deck. He doesn't want people to like him so he runs Primordial Hydra and Polukranos, World Eater all the time and I'm sitting over there with my white weenie deck going, "Man, this sh*t ain't fair." So I'm like, I've always loved dragons, and Dragons of Tarkir just came out, so I'm going to build a Dragon Deck, because what's better than Hydras? FLYING HYDRAS. And what's better than Flying Hydras? DRAGONS. I LOVE DRAGONS.

This isn't a combo deck so I have no suggestions on what should be in your opening hand except for 4 or more lands and 1 or 2 Elvish Mystics. Put a land down, Elvish Mystic. Play Explosive Vegetation as soon as possible because you're going to need A LOT of land. Savage Ventmaw is very useful because it generates all the mana you need for one more dragon when you attack, so I love that card. It's a very tribal deck so there isn't much synergy except for Savage Ventmaw's mana generating ability.

BTW. Dragon Broodmother and Utvara Hellkite are nasty creatures! Each turn, just Devour the 6/6 Dragon Utvara pooped out and it doubles each turn! WITH FLYING! Holy mother of Jesus your opponent is going to die!

I absolutely cannot wait until I can play against my friend! Muahahahaa! I LOVE DRAGONS!
