I've tried my hand at Snakes too, though it was focused around enter-the-battlefield abilities like Patagia Viper, Coiling Oracle and Door of Destinies plus bounce effects, so there's not a huge amount of cross-over with your deck and I was never completely happy with it.

I don't really have any suggestions with regards to the creature-base but Nagging Thoughts could be a decent addition to add a bit more graveyard filling and to synergise with Noose Constrictor and Tracker's Instincts might be better than Commune with the Gods. I'm also not a huge fan of Call to the Kindred, myself; it's obviously great when it works but I've found it too expensive and slow for something that's so vulnerable to being removed.

I really like these suggestions. I've been thinking heavily about dropping call to the kindred and maybe also shielding plax. That would make room for four new cards, and I really feel like nagging thoughts could take that spot. Tracker's instincts would fit that bill pretty well, as the two enchantments were, leaving aside bident of thassa, the reason I choose commune with the gods. And Instincts event synergizes with noose as it's a card I can discard and still use. Thanks a lot!

nice update! I don't know if you like Kashi-Tribe Elite, Skullwinder but they would do fine in your deck

I do have one of each of your suggestions. I'm not too sure about them though. Skullwinder's cool, but giving an opponent a card back is something i don't really like to do. Elite is a strong card, but with only four legends, he isn't that great. On the other hand, there is this one-of nessian asp that has yet to prove its value. So if i'm not happy with asp, maybe one of these two might take the place.

This looks really fun, I actually wanted to build a modern snake deck after the latest blocks, but havent got to it. As this is pretty budget, I won't recommend any expensive cards, but Hooded Hydra is something I would suggest playtesting. It could be an overkill, but has really great synergy with Seshiro the Anointed and ramp. +1 for the cool snake theme tribal!

Naksu: thanks a lot :) i already thought about hoody, but i was unsure about it. I'll add it to the maybe board for now, but i think i'll try to get some.

If you're going with the Nemesis being your major wincon, I strongly suggest something like Primal Rage or Nylea, God of the Hunt for trample. And with your current setup the Hooded Hydra has stronger synergy with Seshiro and flooding the field with snakes. But I might be wrong or I'm just trying to build it to suit me. My 2 cents :)

Pretty cool suggestions indeed. I have a little problem with nylea not being a snake, but it might be worth it. And it would give Commune with the Gods added value.

Oh, I forgot to mention Rancor for the Nemesis. I added this to my tribal folder so I remember to steal your ideas for my future snake tribal :D

I actually thought about rancor as you mentioned nylea. It's in my Zendikar Resurgent deck though, but I might put it over here. Suggestions for what to replace with it? By the way, I think I'll get a second Kaseto, Orochi Archmage soon.

Regarding the addition to your folder: As I have seen some of your tribal decks before, I feel a little honored. Feel free to steel them, but please feel free to tell me as well ;)

Rancor added in exchange for two Prey Upon. It will hopefully allow me to get more damage in with Nemesis of Mortals.

Hello good sir, one of my first decks ever was a snake deck aswell and i think it's the most fun tribal.

you might consider Opposition as control, works perfectly well with Sosuke's Summons.

Can be used with Shisato, Whispering Hunter to lock your opponent completly. Shisato works well with Kaseto aswell.

Thorbogl: I've read about the snake opposition lists, and I find them very interesting. I might actually fit it in here, but I'm not too sure about what to replace with it and how many oppositions I would need, as every single one except the first is basically dead. Opinions?

The Combo with Shisato is pretty awesome. She's pretty hungry though, so even if I include opposition, I'll heavily ponder if she's worth it.

Hey! Love your enthusiasm for your snake deck. As someone who's relatively new to Magic, I've never seen a snake deck... and it was a treat.

Thornwood Falls and Temple of Mystery are solid budget replacements for Simic Guildgate. I'd even mail you a couple Thornwood Falls if you want them :)

It seems like you'd want more basic forests over islands, as none of your turn 1 & 2 plays are blue and you only run 6 untapped green sources. Plus, when you actually need islands, you have Sakura-Tribe Elder and Terramorphic Expanse to find them for you. Maybe consider dropping 4 islands and add 4 forests?

I have a temple in another deck thats uploaded here which needs the temple a lot more. I like your suggestions regarding the basics, though islands aren't enough imo. But i might go to three or for of them without a risk. Thanks a lot :)

You should put in Lorescale Coatl. Even at 1 card per turn, those counters will accumulate.
