I think Gravecrawler and Drowned Catacomb would help out a lot! Must be pretty awesome to swing the turn after Army of the Damned with Undead Alchemist and watch them mill out their whole deck, while you keep adding zombies :D

Most definitely, however Gravecrawler costs something like $9 and Drowned Catacomb is like $4 a piece, and my pockets aren't all that deep haha, another cool thing I can do is play Grimgrin, Corpse-Born , have Endless Ranks of the Dead out, have 1 or 2 Diregraf Captain s out, so that I am now creating tokens every turn to sac for Grimgrin, every time I sac a zombie Grimgrin gets a +1/+1 and my captain(s) do 1 damage to my opponent per captain. Its incredible.

Blood Artist is great any time you blow up a critter. Mind Sculpt . Enough said on that one and I will echo Gravecrawler here as well, over Diregraf Ghoul . Too powerful in any deck playing a good amount of zombies. It is definitely worth the 9 dollar each. Perhaps something to save for? Alternatively, you might look into some Undying zombies. card:Geralf's Messenger is likely the best zombie in the format at the moment and you might even get some mileage from Butcher Ghoul here. Just because they are silly to blow up, especially since they come back.

I like the idea of cards like Blood Artist and card:Geralf's Messenger, however I just don't see this as a sac deck, or an undying for that matter haha, though Mind Sculpt will be going in as soon as I get my hands on some, also I want to actually put in 2 more Diregraf Ghoul s if you could give me any ideas on what to take out that would be incredible.

I'd personally drop 1 evil twin and the army of the damned. 8 mana is a ton to try to play that card consistently. Though 13 tokens is pretty legit for sure. I'd also make your thought scour or ponder count 4, by dropping off whichever one you don't use. Ponder is goin to probably be the better choice here, but it's up to you really.

Whoops, forgot this was your mill deck. Thought scour will certainly be better over ponder here. Also try jaces phantasm in this deck. Might get some mileage.

True, so you'd say go up to 4 Thought Scour ?

Definitely, 4 would be great here.

Also the final change I can think of for this deck would be to

-2 card:Geralf's Mindcrusher

+1 Nephalia Drownyard

+1 card:Jace's Phantasm

Thoughts?

Trepanation Blade could be nice in here. Equip it to one of your creatures and not only are you dealing damage, but you also mill them!

Very very true, tell ya what when ravnica hits and makes my Grave Titan illegal (though I hope to god he is reprinted) if he rotates out, I think TB has a place here just because it is a great mill + pump card and I don't really have too many heavy hitters xD

As a two of it can be good. I really like card:Geralf's Mindcrusher. Is he any good? I was thinking about using him in my sideboard in place of Tamiyo, the Moon Sage so I can trade them off.

I have found that the only real issue with him is with most decks you really need to win or at least have control of the board by turn 6, and by then he really falls to the back of the pack as far as reliability goes, however I have had HUGE success with him when I can get him to land on turn 6, due to milling 5 AND having a 5/5, then I get to laugh at them while I swing every turn, completely unafraid of them killing him, cuz guess what? HE COMES RIGHT BACK AND YOU GET TO MILL MORE >:D haha I love the whole concept behind him xD

I have a demon deck you might like. deck:demons-souls. It's pretty fun to play! Wizards should reprint Glimpse the Unthinkable for us!

mindshreiker would look nice in this deck.

Take out Grave Titan as he will be rotating.

Try to get some bounce into this deck and bounce the ever loving shit out of Mindcrusher.

Have you thought about Undead Alchemist at all?

August 19, 2012 3:02 a.m.

strateupjee says... #19

I have actually, I ran 4 at one point, however my problem with them, and this may just be me having shitty luck haha, is that whenever I actually get him to hit the field (if he isn't countered), he just gets destroyed so quickly that he doesn't have enough time to really take effect, so I really was forced to replace him, sadly though since he is such a great card haha

You could always try out the B/U Zombie route, but go discard rather than rush. Gravecrawler , card:Geralf's Messenger, Undead Alchemist , Diregraf Ghoul , Highborn Ghoul . This way your Undead Alchemist always has a zombie to discard on. Just a thought.

strateupjee says... #21

II already did that and I found it to be a bit inconsistent haha, I like it the way it is now, it was B/U Zombie before it was this
