Do you think it would do well with 3 Blood Baron of Vizkopa and 3 Obzedat, Ghost Council instead of 4 Blood Baron of Vizkopa and 2 Obzedat, Ghost Council ?
November 4, 2013 10:27 p.m.
I just want to make sure I can make it work with 3 Blood Baron of Vizkopa before I go drop 90 dollars to make the deck. (I have most of the other cards)
Thanks

Well, the fact alone that Blood Baron of Vizkopa is non legendary makes it worth to run 4 of, while Obzedat, Ghost Council is legendary, so running 3 can have you stuck with 2 in your hand sometimes. It's good for Trading Post discarding, but wouldn't it be nicer to have more deadly vampires :D? But, I do think it may work with 3 and 3, the extra Obzedat, Ghost Council just become meal for trading post.

Also, I had no idea someone was actually going to copy a deck I made. Thank you, that is very high praise to me rorofat :)

No problem. I'll try it with three Obzedat, Ghost Council s and see how it does. I have been trying to make a control Junk/Morglen deck for a while and when Thragtusk and Terminus rotated out, I was at a loss! Of course, I may tweak the sideboard just a bit so it will work better in my meta! Thanks for posting the deck!

I had the same problem until I realized what my first Angelic Accord deck could become on pre-release night. Then this idea happened and tweaked it for months. I see many more variations of the deck ideas and so many work with it. All depends on meta! Hope yours does amazing :D

+1 from me. I also run a junk deck. I would really like your thoughts on how to make mydeck better. I just played it tonight since rotation for the first time(work conficts). My version got spanked by esper control and mono reds all night. Please help.

I also have lots of problems with Red Deck Wins. The best cards to help (in my experience) are Blind Obedience and some sort of Fog such as Druid's Deliverance .
If you find anything better, let me know.
PS: BlueEyes: +1 from me!

Haha Thanks you guys!
charginb432: Yeah sure, I will try to help. Link me the deck.
It is generally very annoying for aggro decks and control decks on a junk deck, but we do have MANY ways to slow it down. Blind Obedience and hand removal like Duress and Sin Collector help a ton in that way. If you have the money go for Thoughtseize , but I am cheap. As rorofat stated, things like Fog help a lot, and I believe Fog was reprinted, so you can literally use it in side board.
But sure, please link me your deck and tell me what you are going for. Being midrange, control, aggro or lifegain etc etc.

Very nice deck you have put some cards together that once ive seen them assembled seem stupid obvious but untill now i hadnt connected the dots. Trostani,,, cauldron... Accord.... Duhhhh. I absolutly love it not to mention the amount of success you have had with it. This deck is slightly out of my budget at this time but i do already have quite a bit of the pieces but its really not crazy expensive. I hate seeing decks win mearly because of high priced cards and tho there are some moderatly pricey cards here it looks like most of the money is in land and a few creatures are some what costly but no 30 dollar archangels or voice of resurgance. Cant upvote you enough.

I dislike spending money, I really do haha. I got all these cards from packs/trading from months and months, maybe even year now. I am not good at keeping track of time. Thank you very much for the praise Felixlives :)

I really really like the deck alot! Congratulations on winning Game Day. I would like to ask how has the deck faired against burning earth since changing to all dual lands? Upvote +1
November 7, 2013 4:30 a.m.
Uhh...insert big phrase of curse words here.. Burning Earth is one of those cards when I notice, I do m best to gain life asap and duress it out of my opponents hand, so it never hits the field. Few friends run that card and I literally found duress save my life. Few times I had seen it turn 4 and I almost cried, but I was able to push hard with life gaining cards. I am the type once I have cards I know I can with on the field, I do not press any harder unless its needed. I tend to keep at least 1 Blood Baron of Vizkopa on the field and my hand, they rid one, they are seeing the other next turn. I find pacing slowly helps with heavy removal on my side haha.
Thats how i deal with Burning Earth :D
November 7, 2013 4:34 a.m.
When i was thinking about the possibility of Burning Earth against three colour decks in general I do cry (My preferred deck type at the moment is R/B/W), however your deck seems to deal with it much like you have explained very well.
Another question in regards to the land base: do you find 22 to be enough? Im fairly new to magic to my understanding to it is that 22 land is more for aggro and faster decks?
November 7, 2013 4:41 a.m.
Oh and also thank you for the Game Day thing and +1 Memalot :P
November 7, 2013 4:43 a.m.
I go by CMC, generally because I have higher cost spells I will need the land asap. I use to run 24 in all my decks, but decided to risk 22 and it works fairly well for me.
I was actually going to post my R/B/W lifegain angel deck soon lol. I love Angelic Accord and probably have built too many decks around it.
My 2 cents for land on a deck, find what you are comfortable with and if you think it works, run with it and fix it over time. i use to run 20 lands, but found I had to mulligan too much. When ever I run more than 22 lands however I run Into the Wilds , I honestly do not care what people say bout that card, it is amazing for decks with lots of land and helps stop "mana flooding".

How does one make a deck called "Death of a Salesman" and not include Gray Merchant of Asphodel LoL. Looks strong though. But it loses a point for missing the obvious choice for flavor. You look tired. LoL
November 7, 2013 9:42 a.m.
Haha, if it was mono-black I would have him for sure. How do I look tired o.O?

I just took a similar deck to FNM. (I still haven't decided about the Blood Baron of Vizkopa . I lost game 1 to American Control, mainly to Assemble the Legion . I won game 2, and lost game 3 against a Junk Soldier of the Pantheon deck. Do you (or anyone) have any suggestions for dealing with Soldier of the Pantheon or Assemble the Legion , please let me know! And Blue Eyes, thanks for the idea, I just wanted to figure out how you deal with these cards! (Thanks)
