What would you remove for the Voice of Resurgence with this current build?

BlueEyes says... #2

GreyFawkes I would remove 1 Obzedat, Ghost Council , 1 Abrupt Decay and either Sanguine Bond , some Advent of the Wurm , change the sideboard to have all 4 Devour Flesh so I can run 4 Voice of Resurgence . Thats my opinion on what I would take to add 4 Voices.

Nice deck +100 from me. Don't think there is much to say about... But could you possibly look at my deck and give any suggestions to me?

Thanks gotmilk@me , I took a look, honestly the advice of all the people already commented have said more than I probably could.

Oddjob9 and LectricMana : Tell me what you think of this current version _, I added in Loxodon Smiter and Fleecemane Lion <--because I do not have voice.

With play testing I noticed a major difference already against aggro decks from friends. Let me know what you think.

I like the new look of the deck. I miss the Angelic Accord and vast combos but it is far more focused, which competitive decks have to be. Getting rid of Trostani and Ghost Council, while amazing together, frees you up from their intense mana requirements. Your avg CMC appears way down, I think it was just under 4, now at 3.08, thats very good. The whip becomes hugely important now, with only the BB having innate lifelink. With 11 removal spells and some of the best of all the low cmc creatures out there, this deck should do much better to repel aggression until you get a whip and Sanguine Bond out.

Can you explain the Advent of the Wurm in the sideboard? it's a great selesnya card but the double green in its cost could be a bit steep for this deck. I think I'd rather have a little more anti-control to sub out for all those creature kill cards, as your deck in its current form shouldn't need to sideboard against aggro.

I will test the new changes soon! I have Voice of Resurgence so I may see how it fairs as well. For your sake I'm hoping the somewhat low volume of creatures makes it's tokens far less useful, so that you don't have to slash your christmas funds to acquire them.

GreyFawkes, I cried hard when I took her out. She was such a beautiful combo card. :( , but it was needed for the greater good! (You can still use her in the deck, just take stuff out)

Oddjob9 : I also miss all the combos, but you guys made a point about the deck against current aggro decks and fast decks. The reason for Advent of the Wurm is for cases where I am on an opponent who uses less creature/permanents that have higher CMC. Being able to flash in a 5/5 wurm to block and then attack seems to be a viable option for certain decks.Example, a 5/5 green wurm > Blood Baron.

Thank you for testing! Let me know how it fairs compared to Fleecemane Lion , I enjoy its monster ability on turn 4 and its great to keep them on their toe's because it can be instant speed to respond to a kill spell or board wipe.

Devour Flesh is a little situational. You might Far / Away or even be ambitious enough to fiddle around with Chained to the Rocks and it might make splashing the Boros Reckoner more appealing.

devotiontoblue I thought about it and have the cards to fiddle around. I did not like it as much, so I decided to get a few Thoughtseize to add a little more fun risk in this deck.

Is that Blood Baron with Whip of Erebos thing a joke? Because the Blood Baron has pro black.

Blood Baron of Vizkopa has pro black. I think whip cant target it, even from the Gyard

BlueEyes says... #22

You are not the first to comment about that, I understand your confusion, but protection's are only active on the battlefield, not the hand nor graveyard. Or else Lifebane Zombie and Thoughtseize couldn't target it in the hand.

Love the deck. I remember a few months ago when I made the original :) After a few tweaks I finally got it going 3-0... Oh, and I notice that there isn't any Pithing Needle s in the SB... Most people play at least two to deal with Esper or Scavenging Ooze Decks. Just curious as always, oh and here's my deck:

rorofat I tweaked and changed this deck so many times, but I never really updated the side much. I do have two Pithing Needle in the sideboard. I decided to move back to Selesnya for awhile until I figure out a quicker route to win with Junk.

Looking at your deck, it is very close to what my deck use to be like, but with more towards the devotion aspect on your part. My original ran 14-16 removal spells + 4 Thoughtseize when my meta was very creature heavy, but with the uprising of everyone playing Esper Control again, moved back to Selesnya, because Rootborn Defenses can really mess up Esper. Good luck on your deck, when i start working on this deck again,I am sure you will notice _
