Myr Battlebowling

Modern*

ZX6Rob

An entirely colorless deck put together for casual play at the office. Wanted to see if I could design and build a colorless deck that could compete with mono-color casual decks. This one seems to be doing quite well!

As with many artifact-heavy and colorless decks, this one relies on the various Urza's lands to get large amounts of colorless mana early. The Galvanizers and Palladium Myr can be used for a mid-game infinite mana loop, or the galvanizers can simply be used to untap after attacking with a huge mass of Battlesphere-spawned Myr tokens. Darksteel Forge makes all your little robot buddies indestructible, and Unwinding Clock makes them untap without the need for the Galvanizer, giving you two options there. The Artisan of Kozilek is here for two reasons. First, the Annihilator ability is very helpful in clearing the field to chuck your big ball o' Myr right at your opponent's face, and two, his ability to return a creature from the graveyard upon entering the battlefield is best used to return a dead Myr Battlesphere, triggering its own ability again and giving you four more tokens. Myr Turbine combines with Myr Battlesphere to let you get a second one out almost immediately. With four Battlespheres in-deck and multiple ways to get them on the board, you quickly fill up the table with spawned Myr tokens! Tap them all and swing with your Myr wrecking balls for the win!
