This deck idea mainly started from trying to make Intangible Virtue and Tempered Steel work together - having painfully experienced both in Standard in the past (at separate times). A quick Gatherer search for "artifact creature token" yielded Myr Matrix and Myr Turbine, which started this whole thing.

Darksteel Citadels are included to hit Metalcraft early for Dispatch and Mox Opal. Mox Opal's are needed, since we have a relatively high mana curve for Modern (and we have mana dumps). With the new legend rule, Mox Opals are essentially better than Lotus Petal in an artifact heavy deck (I would expect them to be banned soon after the new legend rule is implemented). Flagstones of Trokair behave similarily to the Mox Opals. By themselves, they are strictly better than Plains. If I have one in play and one in hand, I can float mana from the first, play the second, and legend rule the original.

I was tempted to splash red for Pyroclasm and Lightning Bolt for early game removal, but keeping it monowhite has its advantages. It feel like almost every modern deck that isn't aggro has to run red for those. Although I should probably throw in Wrath of God somewhere. I should probably also include some creatures just to take advantage of Mono White staples, such as Emeria, the Sky Ruin.

So I'm having a couple problems with this deck, just from playtesting. I can't really reliably hit Metalcraft early enough to make use of Dispatch when I need it, so I might trade Dispatch for Path to Exile. It works great in my silver bullet deck, but not as great here. I can also trade the Mox Opals for Semblance Anvils, for the same reason.

If I need some early game board presence, I can include Myr Galvanizer because it fits with the theme of this deck. Also looking at Palladium Myr (or his smaller brothers) for mana ramp / chump blocking. I am aware of the infinite combo between these guys (with 2 Galvanizers), but have no plans on trying to get it off with Myr Matrix. Running any creatures (besides the Myr Battlesphere finisher) would let me utilize the white utility lands.

If I do splash another color, I would probably try to go blue for some more control/card draw (I would usually think of Thoughtcast, but that has the same problem as Metalcraft).
