Do you like tribal as much as I do? If so, then you might just learn about a trick I found while designing a sliver commander deck for a friend.

Like I said, this deck was inspired by a trick while designing a sliver deck. I found an infinite combo with Mana Echoes + Sliver Queen . See, once you bring in the first token, you have the queen and the token, giving you 2 colorless mana, then you just feed it back in to make more. It gets better if you run Sliver Overlord to fetch pump-up slivers and one that gives you haste, but I digress.

So anyway, I found this combo, and decided to make a new tribal deck that was not slivers, though I must admit, they worked the best, so I decided to play around with myrs.

First, the commander, why run Sliver Queen if you are not running slivers? The answer is simple, to help with the infinite combo. If I need to, I can always get the queen out and make slivers, then give them haste through an enchantment. This way, I do not need to absolutely rely on luck of the draw and tutors.

Second, why run a 5 color deck, when you don't need 5 colors? Well, again it's simple. When I first started designing the deck I said to myself, "I need mana dorks", and lo they appeared, one of each color and one of all colors, and since it;s commander, to run them in the deck means I have to run a 5 color general. Also, there are good cards have in the deck from each color ( Tempered Steel , Parallel Lives, Mana Echoes, Tezzeret the Seeker , Liliana Vess, etc).

Thirdly, you see that there are only 29 lands, "Why so little?" some may ask. The answer lies in the artifacts. I run each of the borderposts (because they are artifacts), 8 mana dorks, and some other color fix cards that are staples in commander to ramp me up, and if I really wanted to, I could throw a Mana Flare into the deck as well, but it works fine without any more lands.
