You ever think to yourself that mythic rare cards are just the coolest. Don't you dislike how bland commons, uncommon, and especially rare set symbols look? Looking to indulge in that sweet orange shine

Well then do I have the deck for you! I present to you, Mythic Rare Tribal!

An premium five color deck in which every single card is mythic rare. That's right,

EVERY . SINGLE . CARD .

Wait, every single card?

Did I stutter?

Alright, but what about lands like Triomes, Command Tower, or even Basics for a good foundation?

What are we, peasants? I'm the type of high level player that likes to fetch out Cinder Glades and Canopy Vistas.

So if the lands are clunky, how about decent mana fixing?

Can I offer you a Vexing Puzzlebox in this trying time? Or how about a Chromatic Orrery?

Do we at least get any good commander staples?

What are you, a filthy C-EDH player? Who needs Sol Ring when you have Mox Tantalite?

Are there any actual good cards that are synergistic with our commander to make a coherent deck theme?

That's pretty cringe if you ask me.

In all seriousness Mythic Rare Tribal is one of my favorite deck creations I've had the pleasure of playing. Consisting of 100% Mythic Rares it is a Five-Color value pile like no other. Piloted by Niv-Mizzet Reborn this deck contains a plethora of fancy mythic two color cards that we can hit off of Niv's ETB effect, most of which can dominate the game all by themselves. Other than the cards working off Niv's trigger there is no real coherent synergies, although some card combinations can turn out to be quite powerful. Sometimes the deck crashes and burns from mana complications and sometimes it gets a hasty Blightsteel Colossus off a Nahiri, the Harbinger ultimate.

Every single Non-Land card in the deck is a card originally printed at Mythic Rare and hasn't gotten a downgrade ever. This makes our ramp options quite difficult as although some mana staples like Mana Crypt are always printed at Mythic, since there wasn't a Mythic Rarity at its first printing we can't use it. Other good options like Lotus Cobra would have been great if they hadn't gotten downgraded. However we do have some mythic quality ramp that can get the job done like Esika, God of the Tree   or Shaman of the forgotten ways. There also isn't the greatest amount of targeted removal or board wipes at Mythic, so we get by with cards like Invasion of Ravnica   or The Meathook Massacre. Despite those complications we can always rely on our cards being absolute powerhouses (if we can cast them) that take over the game pretty quickly.

However when it comes to Land cards there was no way I could avoid using promo cards while also having a deck that functions, as there are too few Lands that are only printed at Mythic. So to supply a functional mana base I turned to Zendikar Expeditions, and only included Lands that appeared in those products with that sweet orange shine. That's why we don't have the Triomes or staple Five Color lands like Command Tower.

Also while I "own" this deck IRL, it is entirely proxied since I cannot afford a ~2,000$ deck (mainly because it requires Zendikar Expedition lands).

And that's pretty much the deck. While it contains some Modern Horizon Nonsense I consider this deck to be a prime example of a good old Battlecruiser deck. Starting slowly (usually) with lands before starting to cast big flashy mythics to take over the game.

Updates Add

Some cards have been reprinted as Rare instead of Mythic Rare, so I exchanged them for some new cards. I also took out some cards I felt were too Spiky or didn't work in the deck for some new cards.
