I love your deck but I love your thoroughness even more. You get a +1 from me.

Fantastic_Mr_King cheers man, appreciated! The goal is to eventually write a primer on the deck. My "drive" in modern has been to pilot my own creation, and make it as good as I possible can.

I'm glad to see someone else on the Myth Realized modern train. I built my own with a creatureless theme in mind but I'd never considered a Caw Blade strategy which looks very well thought out. I'm interested to see how you'll end up tweaking this but I'd say it looks like a strong contender in the current meta, able to dish out and deal with threats as it needs. +1

stalydan thanks for the reply! Glad to see someone else with interest in Myth Realized, as I honestly believe it's a great card in the right lists! Took a look at your list - seems interesting. It seems that we can agree that sweepers alongside Myth is the way to go, and I find your approach to protect interesting as well. One thing I'm looking at is to add Cryptic Command to my list as well.

I'm having good success with the playtesting so far - going to be more detailed in the primer - so I honestly believe this is a strong contender in the current meta as well.

I really like Myth Realized in Modern as both a delver-like threat and a mana-denial resource - once it's in play, your opponent is forced to never tap out lest they take a mountain of damage to the face. My only concern with your list is the 4 Remands. I've always found that they perform much better in the company of more counterspells, stuttering your opponent for one turn and then simply countering the spell the next. However, in this deck they might be good enough as a cantrip that buys you a turn and grows the Myth.

JoshRigone I think that's a great summary of why I like Myth Realized in modern as well. The card rewards reactive & proactive play while at the same time adds threat diversity. Planning when to activate the Myth or get rewarded for a "counter bluff" is great.

On the Remand topic I discussed that a bit over at r/modernmagic, and honestly, I think that the right answer might come with further testing. So far I like Remand because it stalls the opponent while it at the same time also replace itself with a new card that could fuel Myth. I also like the scenario where you cast Path to Exile, Remand your own path, recast Path to trigger Myth Realized three times. The anti-synergy between Mana Leak and Path is also something I'm not a fan of.

I'm also really considering adding Cryptic Command to the list, and with that Remand could be better - as you said it becomes better alongside more counter spells.

Spotred That Path and Remand chain is utterly disgusting and is making me want to sleeve this deck up right now. I also agree that Remand, as a counterspell, is best served with a side of Cryptic Command.

JoshRigone Yeah, the idea of executing it is definitely sweet, and is something which makes this deck rather fun to pilot. Also Remand your own spell (or getting "remanded") feels so much better with a Myth or two on the field.

Starting to realize that - probably going to test Cryptic Command instead of Restoration Angel. Honestly, angel has few good targets in the list. This is something I'm going to talk about in the primer.

Personally, I like Telling Time better than Anticipate

By the way, I absolutely love what this deck is tryin to do. I do prefer a more control based deck but Myth Realized as a three of is added to the deck and there to stay because I absolutely love it. You always win even when you loose the counter war.

TheDudeAbides Telling Time is definitely an option (I'm a huge fan of the art). Though I really value the information Anticipate provides since we run so few shuffle effects. The land count is also rather high, and when we cast Anticipate we want to find either a land or some action - rarely we want both.

Myth Realized definitely is an all star in the list. I've been quite busy lately so haven't been able to update the list or playtest much, but I'm looking at getting my hands on Cryptic Command and do a 3 Remand / 2 Mana Leak split.

A very good deck, well thought and put together nicely, a +1 from me :). I think you should consider using Aqueous Form, since this deck does not have many creatures in it, so if you would equip one with those artifacts and then use Aqueous Form on it, it would've helped you a great deal. Just my opinion though :)

Kudos to you for making a Myth Realized deck. I noticed that the deck has a lack in the basic land department and this makes the deck weak against anything running Blood Moon. I would recommend squeezing in more basics if you can without disrupting the mana balance.I would also recommend dropping the Geist of Saint Traft and one Brimaz, King of Oreskos as while they are good beaters, I feel they are to vulnerable. Perhaps replace them with more cantrips like Serum Visions to give more draw and add counters to Myth?I also recommend replacing Sword of Light and Shadow with Sword of Fire and Ice as it gives you protection from any nasty burn and bounce spells, but also gives you a card.Well thats just my two cents. Really enjoyed the deck and +1 for flavor.

Delithus If the list utilized the full playset of Geist of Saint Traft I'd consider Aqueous Form. Currently the list has too few targets to make an enchantment effect worthwhile, and the lack of hexproof makes easy for the opponent to 2-for-1 us. Thanks for the suggestion and for liking the deck!

SenseLess-Management.Inc Yes of course! The Finks used to be Timely Reinforcements. What I like about the Finks is that they are good in a lot of different matchups, where Timely is not. Post board they'll either replace Mirran Crusader or Brimaz, King of Oreskos while still function as a decent threat. While 6 life definitely can be helpful, conditional three 1/1's isn't amazing. Finks are also great alongside Supreme Verdict. That being said, I could consider cutting one Finks for a single Timely. A combination of the two seems interesting, thanks for the food for thought!

wrath1203 first off, thanks for the support and the lengthy reply. I really enjoy thoughtful and challenging comments!

Blood Moon has been a concern, and I've added more basics. Admittedly the manabase might still be too greedy, and I'm debating how valuable Eiganjo Castle actually is over another basic.

When it comes to the creature cuts I'm at a crossroad right now. On one side I've moved to a more spell oriented setup to support Myth Realized, on the other I've lost some board pressure. Geist of Saint Traft is definitely a cut to consider as he isn't well supported in the build - here I might add another Myth. Brimaz on the other hand has been great in many matches, and I'm afraid cutting a copy is a loss. The suggestion to add Serum Visions in their place is interesting, though it might result in too much "durdeling" and make the list slower and lacking on threats.

Sword of Fire and Ice is something I strongly consider as SoL&S rarely has creatures to return. I'm also interested in testing Dragonlord Ojutai in this slot. This is definitely a room for improvement.

I feel Serum Visions is a significant upgrade over Anticipate. It just does more for less mana. Also Faith's Shield seems really out of place, especially since you already have 2 Valorous Stance's. I'd cut those for the visions and I think things will run smoother for you.

hairlord - Faith's Shield is actually pretty good as a protection spell because it covers everything and with the Fateful Hour can give you an extra turn if not lethal. Can be particularly good with Myth Realized as a countermeasure for Abrupt Decay without making it a creature and leaving it open to lots of other removal like Path and Bolt.

hairlord The reason why I've chosen Anticipate is because the deck realm cares about hitting the land drops all the way to t4-5. Also, finding Supreme Verdict quickly is important. While Serum Visions can help with that as well, it only reach one down, which can be a liability. Also the instant speed plays around discard spells and allows interaction - either leaving mana open for a counter spell or finding a removal spell for a sudden threat. That being said two mana is a lot when it comes to cantrips and I won't deny that Serum Visions is strong in modern - I might test it out.

When it comes to Faith's Shield stalydan hit the nail on the head. Protection is important and while Valorous Stance is good it only affect creatures. A singleton "protect anything" is valuable when Myths and Swords are a part of the deck. Decay and the new BR Command is scary and Shield can protect permanents from them. It's also nice that it can make a huge Myth unblockable in the right scenario or protect the face against burn when at 5 life (which can be quite useful).
