Taken from my Reddit post. I have an updated list on my profile, I'll update this one soon with what I changed (added shocks and made the manabase cleaner, as well as taking some of the 1-ofs out and replacing them with better spells)
Primer from reddit:
This deck came together in the thirty minutes before FNM started, but sadly the store did not have an Iona, Shield of Emeria so I was forced to go with Inkwell Leviathan instead.
Round 1: Merfolk I kept a decent hand with some removal. Wasn't sure what I was playing against, but turn 1 island, vial, go kinda told me. I picked off some of his lords and landed a Gifts on turn 4 for Unburial Rites and Inkwell Leviathan. He kept pressuring me but I got two swings in with Inkwell, putting him to 6. He played two lords and swung for lethal when I had one Path in hand...not enough unfortunately. One more turn would've won it. Game 2 I sideboarded in Anger of the Gods and managed to wipe his board once or twice before being overwhelmed by fish.
0-1
Round 2: Infect I managed to bolt his Glistener, Path his Ichorclaw, Helix another Glistener and killed him with Dragonlord Ojutai. Game 2 I sideboarded in Blessed Alliance and Negate. I kept removing his creatures but he eventually stuck a Glistener Elf. The game went so long I hard cast a Leviathan. He ended up swinging with a Glistener Elf when I had 8 poison and he buffed it a bunch. I negated a buff spell and blocked with Leviathan, he ended up dealing 10 to the Leviathan and none to me. I won with Dragonlord Ojutai again.
1-1
Round 3: Abzan Midrange I kept a decent hand that was maaaaybe a little land heavy, I had 4 lands. I bolted a bird, Pathed a Tarmo and ended up drawing seven or eight lands over the next seven or eight turns and never saw another nonland spell. Ended up with 6 lands on the table and four in my hand and a bunch in the graveyard from Liliana +1s. Game 2 Sideboarded in Blessed Alliance for his big Tarmos. Ended up being a mistake as he also ran Lingering Souls. This game, I kept a decent three land hand. No blue mana, but pretty much every other land in my deck made blue mana so I figured I was safe. I bolted and Pathed a few times and he stuck a Liliana and two Tarmos. I had a Supreme Verdict in hand and needed to draw a blue source. I didn't draw a land in 5 turns which included a Serum Visions.
1-2
Round 4: Counters Company Turns out, all the removal in the world is super good against a deck that relies on creatures. A couple bolts, Paths, and Wraths and a Nahiri carried me to the win by swinging for 15 with Worldspine Wurm. I was even a turn away from ulting Ajani. Game 2 Sideboarded in Angers. Kept removing his creatures but couldn't stick a threat and lost to Anafenza the Foremost. Game 3 SUPER close, had him with no creatures but Collected Company with Leak mana up into Eternal Witness into next turn Collected Company again got him all the pieces he needed to get infinite life off Kitchen Finks. I have no answers to infinite life so I conceded.
1-3
Wrap Up All in all, my deck performed decently. The manabase needs work but the store was out of Flooded Strands so I did the best I could. Iona would've helped. I'm considering running a few Faithless Looting or similar effects to help rid my hand of unwanted Unburial Rites or lands. Ajani Vengent overperformed, that card is fantastic. Moving forward, Helix will be upped to a few more copies and I'm considering upping Electrolyze as well. I am also considering running Baral or some other kind of two mana ramp to get a turn 3 gifts, turn 4 reanimation. Speeding the deck up a turn would be great. Maybe Mind Stone so I can still blank removal and cast planeswalkers off it. Anyway I am looking forward to more FNMs and improving the deck!
