Ryotenchi, CanadianShinobi, FAMOUSWATERMELON as it is somehow a mix between HB, control and prison I am going to need your expertise in all these domains! :D

Nef you may like this too, as it is some pretty rogue deckbuilding going out. ;)

ironcore I'm tagging you here to give you ideas for your budget mono-red version. By the way, I really like the last version you made even though I've got a ton of suggestions for your sideboard! ;)

If you're going to make a prison deck, don't half ass it. Otherwise your focus is drawn too thin, especially given the colours you're in. But, I do like the land destruction route you've got going on. A minor suggestion is to splash black for Kol's Command and possibly discard.

So...RW Hatebears?

Nice.

You don't need that much land destruction imo. Instead, try something that you can use with Nahiri's ult to win the game. I'm talking Blightsteel Colossus. Because who doesn't love swinging for 11 infect damage with haste?

Thank you guys for the input, I'll definitively consider all of this :D

Is it better like this? The deck is now more focused on the prison aspect with a lot of ways to deal with creatures and thus getting a clean Blightsteel Colossus shot. ;)

I had been waiting for Nahiri to be put in the system to test it. It looks like a really fun deck xD I have very little experience with this kind of deck and I'm really bad with Chalice of the Void xD I assume this deck should destroy the Eldrazi deck and is very anti meta? I'd be really bad at testing it because all my decks are non meta xD From what I can see Nahiri will be a really good addition to the deck. I wonder if a black splash could exist in this kind of deck. Siding in hand hate could help fight combo decks.

Well, eldrazi is a 50/50 match-up. If they've got t1 mimics or t2 seer, I'm done for. If they don't, they are.

If I do a black splash, it would be for discard/Kommand that would replace MB chalices and tithes, and maybe a few things to get that new devil which makes everybody lose their minds atm. :p

Nef says... #11

I'm not sure how good the devil will end up being. It could be really good or very meh. I think it belongs in a deck that uses the grave so you get value no matter what.

My Spoop are still Arid Mesas :p

I'm loving this. Might actually start playing some modern again. Anyway, my only real concern is the activation of Sea Gate Wreckage, I feel that if you want to reliably library, then you may need more than four colorless sources. Unless you were just looking for another land and thought sometimes this will be really good. But then, something else might be better served in its place. I do love how beautifully Nahiri works with Emrakul. If you draw Emmy, then just plus Nahiri to shove her back in the deck and eventually get the ult out. Also loving how Anger of the Gods hits nothing you are playing.

I would almost want to try Restore Balance in here, but that might just be too Johnny of me and unnecessary. Sideboard looks good, only semi strange inclusion is Trinisphere, but backed up with a large amount of LD it probably will put work in. As for Blightsteel Colossus in the maybe board, I see it as funny, but not really useful seeing as you have Emrakul and the only thing that really stops it is Cryptic Command whereas Blightsteel is open to a Path to Exile.

As for Storage Matrix, I don't like the idea of replacing something for budget issues, if the goal here is to make the best version of this deck. I definitely see Chalice of the Void as staying in. I like the idea of trying it out, but I don't think it would actually be good enough to merit an inclusion. The only time I really could see it being relevant is against mid range. Against: Affinity: artifact, artifact, artifact, which equates to creatures, opals, and drums, so creatures and mana Control: Even if they are playing Jace, it'll be land land land and land Eldrazi: Probably almost always dudes as Matrix is a three drop and they probably have a good board state already Mid Range: Could be creature or land, do I want to progress my board state or is it time to smash? Burn: As long as they hit land drops they should be fine by the time you drop it.

Granted, all of this gets more complicated if you drop in Ghostly Prison or Magus of the Tabernacle, but I don't see Matrix as holding enough merit, by itself, to warrant an inclusion.

I almost want to see a Blood Moon or two in the side board as well, as you can hit their basics with your LD and hit their non basics with the Moon to try and shut them out more, maybe it isn't needed, I'm sure you've tested this a bit.

The only thing I can suggest as to what could be an improvement if your land base. It looks unnecessarily painful to me mainly because of the four Sacred Foundry(ies). Nothing in your deck is really white dependent, you need one white on turns three and four to hit spells on curve, two on turn 4 in sideboard games with WoG/Leyline and turn 1-2 for your others.

That being said, I feel like you could cut down to something like this:

4x Arid Mesa

2x Sacred Foundry

4x Flagstones of Trokair

2-3x Needle Spires

4x Ghost Quarter

1x Sea Gate Wreckage

2x Drownyard Temple (the land I'm opting to add because of recursion and more colorless sources for Sea Gate Wreckage

1x Plains

2x Mountain

You could also argue to up the fetchland count for more synergy with Boom/Bust, but that would cut down on your flex slots. (You can do a similar interaction with Ghost Quarter, it just seems much more awkward. You don't get a land, you blow up two of theirs and they get a basic; but maybe that's just because I like to profit off Boom.)

Sorry about the formatting in the third paragraph, if I spaced those out, tappedout wanted to format it very weirdly so I ended up just smashing them together.

Thank you for the great feedback, CallMeCrazySam!

Your arguments are all on point, but the problem with my manabase is that the Flagstones trick only works... if I still have a plain in the deck, thus leading me to play that amount of Sacred Foundry, regardless of my dependance on white mana. However, you are completly right when it comes to my lack of colorless mana. The temple can be great especially after a Bust, but I may in the end cut some fetches for either Rugged Prairie or Darksteel Citadel to achieve this as the figZrst may provide the colored mana I need to cast Molten Rain, Anger of the Gods or Nahiri and as the second doesn't need any mana to stay on the table.

I've pondered quite a lot of time about the Blood Moon issue. It is indenyably the best red sideboard card out there, and could be great here too. Yet... I'll often hurt me as much as it will hurt my opponent as I can only run a single plains. Flagstones would not trigger anymore, too. Soo, I guess I still haven't the right answer about it and a lot of playtesting will be required to answer this question.

I thank you a lot for your input on Matrix and Trinisphere, too. That was really helpful. :)

Ps: by the way, don't mind the Colossus. I runned it only for a second, before realising that a flying 15/15 annihilator 6 even more indestructible could be better even if chump blcoked than it. x)

Emrakul, the Aeons Torn isn't an artifact creature. It's going to be extremely hard to cast him

Aven Mindcensor can really help make Ghost Quarter even better

I ain't no fan of crazy planeswalkers getting up after 1000 year naps and deciding that they want to destroy my favorite plane while daddy is away from home. Hell no! Sorin is gonna beat that crazy $&@$(!$ %%&#@ $*&"%! to a pulp!

TEAMSORIN

Cool deck though. I like how the deck seems flavorful and fun.

Ajani Vengeant would be cool on this deck

March 29, 2016 4:32 p.m.

I love LD in modern so seeing this deck makes me happy! Some neat things you could do would be to play Leonin Arbiter or Aven Mindcensor to make Ghost Quarter a Strip Mine, although the arbiter is a nonbo with Nahiri, the Harbinger. Then you could also play Path to Exile for full value if you wanted. Blood Moon could also be good for mana denial.

I like the deck but I'm more impressed with the back drop et. al. Could you link me some of your code I would like to use it to spruce up some of my older listings on this site. Either way nice deck great presentation.
