It was love at first sight. Narset, Enlightened Master spoke to my inner Johnny. I knew that I had to build something. It couldn't be something too oppressive (that's reserved for Dralnu, Lich Lord), but I knew that it had to make my playgroup as excited as I get when looking at the deck.

Looking back to my own personal history with MtG, the block that I have always held dear to my heart is Kamigawa. I've always tried to bring a little bit of flair from that plane into my commander decks, whether it be including a few Zubera into my Marchesa, the Black Rose deck or using a Soulshift subtheme in Saffi Eriksdotter (that one's still in development). Now that there's a commander that speaks to me, I figure this is the perfect time to build the Arcane Tribal deck I've always wanted.

I had to make a few concessions to allow for board wipes, recursion, and just pure value. Anything with entwine or buyback gets silly with Narset's ability so there are a few options that use these mechanics sprinkled throughout the deck. There aren't any arcane boardwipes, so a few were brought in that mesh with the deck like Volcanic Vision and Hour of Reckoning (this deck happens to have quite a few token generators). Arcane's choices for card recursion are very limited, so I'm running EDH staple Elixir of Immortality along with super-value-town Temporal Cascade .

The creatures in the deck all fit very well into our gameplan as well. Hypersonic Dragon is another Vedalken Orrery. Monastery Mentor, Mirror-Sigil Sergeant, and Oyobi, Who Split the Heavens can get ridiculous if not dealt with. Kiri-Onna , Nikko-Onna , and Yuki-Onna give us some really great recurring threat removal (though we have to be careful when we cast them as they require a target).

There are a handful of cards that are meta calls for my playgroup. The inclusion of cards like Invulnerability and Prahv, Spires of Order are because one of my friends has a Daretti, Scrap Savant deck that very often wins with an insane number of Vicious Shadows triggers while another one has a very annoying Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck, so both of these can do very well against them.

This is still the first draft of the deck, so I'm open to any and all suggestions to help this deck along.
