Narset just wants free spells

Commander / EDH

Nekoyuki

Maybeboard

...she does.

This deck makes use of every good extra turn card in the game, with the exception of Savor the Moment (unless I have the right setup, Savor the Moment is no good, I need Narset to attack at every opportunity to abuse this deck), and Capture of Jingzhou (dude, it's like, $500-600, and I can't find anyone nearby with the card anyway.)

The real treat, however, are the Auras I can slap on Narset, Enlightened Master to make her stronger while I get those oh, so lovely free spells. If I can get Leyline of Anticipation or Vedalken Orrery on the board as well, she gets even better, as I can slap those Auras before combat damage, or play those extra turn cards on the stack while my opponents are too busy trying to react to something that will kill them (getting to play Eldrazi Conscription at instant speed is pretty nice; even though I don't get the Annihilator triggers, +10/+10 is nothing to sneeze at, especially when Commander Damage is involved.)

You'll notice a high number of Planeswalkers in here. Either they have a purpose, or I just wanted to throw them in the deck for additional flavour. Enough said.

You'll also notice a high number of Mana Rocks. It's very important to not always have enough mana to re-cast Narset if she should get removed, but ESPECIALLY important to have her out as soon as possible. With the right setup, she can see play as soon as turn 3. If I had access to Mana Crypt, I could likely do it as soon as turn 2.

Yeah, it's a Voltron-style deck that takes advantage of really good Auras and Equipments in her colours. Arguably, the weakest Equipment in this regard I have is Sword of Feast and Famine, but I like it too much not to include. Inquisitor's Flail turned out to be such a good addition to the deck, as it pairs so well with Double-Strike effects to kill faster. Grafted Exoskeleton turns out to be a huge double-edged sword, and is one of the reasons I have actual creatures in my list. As she has Hexproof, having Grafted Exoskeleton equipped gives my opponents an avenue to take her out, provided they have the right kind of removal.

Recursion is important in this deck, as board wipes are so highly prevalent in Commander. Having access to Retether and Replenish make replaying Narset, Enlightened Master much easier, as she comes back as strong as she was when she left. Bruna, Light of Alabaster can be played in a pinch when I just need a threatening creature on board, and she gets the benefits of my opponent's Aura's as well (also, being allowed to choose which ones means I don't inadvertently hand her over to the player who happens to have Mind Control or some such nonsense).

The mana-base needs a bit of tweaking. The most important thing is getting to 6 mana as soon as possible, so I often end up hard-mulliganing until I get there. Sometimes I don't, but the low land count has a benefit when Narset attacks. I see fewer lands VIA her effect, which is a dead hit when it happens. To mitigate that, I have access to Scroll Rack, amongst other cards. It's super-powerful in this deck, as it allows me to send cards I've drawn to the top of the deck to abuse with Narset's ability. (I do this in my Jeleva deck, as well, because it's super useful.) Casting either Enlightened Tutor or Mystical Tutor while her ability is on the stack is very good, as well, especially in the case of Mystical Tutor + Time Stretch .

Decks like this tend to want as few creatures as possible (most people like playing none, in fact.) I like the few creatures I have in this build, as they offer some sort of benefit, be it protection, draw power, or a huge threat. I can't think of any other creatures I'd even want to run at this point.

Because of the super-low creature count, I may not always be able to have defenders (this is especially true until Narset gains Vigilance). Most of my defense comes from lands like Maze of Ith and Kor Haven. I've considered running Arcane Lighthouse so these lands will hit the more important targets (which often gain Hexproof to protect them.)

I think that's enough for now.

tl;dr - Narset hurts. A lot.
