With infinite turns, combat damage is a perfectly reasonable win condition. Narset is dependent on swinging to win anyway.

Have you ever tested Sensei's Divining Top, if so how did it go.

How do you like Chandra, Torch of Defiance and Metallurgic Summonings in this deck? I think Chandra is an all-star (who also wins the game for you after an ultimate, though I prefer to have Omniscience for that) and pretty much warrants an auto-include. I feel like she is the best walker in this list other than JTMS himself. Summonings, I think, gives us more reach in combat and gets our non-exiled extra turns and combats back, which is pretty sweet. I feel it is a better alternative to things like Storm Herd as it is pretty efficient for what it does.
How do you like the Sword and Assault combo? I cut it from my list recently, but I find myself uncomfortable with Beacon of Tomorrows looping being the only way to win. Chandra seems like a great way around that, though I think she wants Omniscience so it is easier to do. MS seems quality as well at a low cost and powerful enough utility to merit inclusion.

I'm not a huge fan of either. New Chandra isn't super relevant to what we're trying to do with Narset. She comes down too late to be useful as ramp. Her psuedo card advantage is nice, but generally not needed. Her -3 is somewhat superfluous with all the board wipes being run. Her ult is kind of cute, but generally if we're in a position to use it, we've already won.
Metallurgic Summons gives us decent sized creatures every time we cast spells. Narset is usually enough of a Voltron combo beatstick by herself that extra combat damage isn't really needed. The ability to return instants and sorceries to hand is nice, but most of the relevant ones Narset wants cost 4+ mana.
I personally wouldn't run either in a competitive list, but they're fine if you're going for something a little more fun.

Mind's Desire is great in storm decks where you're casting 10+ spells in one turn. However, the way Narset plays, typically you're only casting a handful of spells per turn due to extra turn effects. Even with a chain of extra combats, you'll rarely hit more than 10 spells. Plus generally once you start going off, you can easily win from there. Desire is almost redundant, since its mediocre when you're going off and useless when you're not.

But, it's so much fun! Even if you play it last thing, after you've played maybe 5 or 6 spells, you still get to play a card for free 6 or 7 times. I understand the bit about redundancy, but why win in the free turn when you can win this turn? Although, my build is def more budget than yours, so I don't have some of the pricier cards like, uh, Capture of Jingzhou. That probably means I needs Mind's Desire to make up for that slot. Anyways, a sidenote: I like that Narset's cEDH build is designed around flurries of attack against which there is no response, quite flavorful.

Great deck! Loving all the Narset players! +1
Have you tried Mana Severance?
I'd also love to hear your thoughts on my Narset deck: Aura-merica.

Mana Severance was in at one point, but it ended up feeling extremely win-more after the rule change. It's useless prior to the combo turn, and if Narset somehow gets removed after you cast it, you're more or less completely screwed. It doesn't happen often, as you're generally only casting Severance while winning, but the issue came up often enough to be relevant.

is omniscience overrated in narset? would it work in this deck?
KillKid20095 says... #1
Then with no Omniscience how do you plan on winning? Combat Damage?
