Nath and the Sacrificial Elves

Commander / EDH*

SanguineousFe3C

Maybeboard

Nath is a taercenn (superior commander) of the Gilt-Leaf hunters. He is one of the most seasoned warriors of the Gilt-Leaf tribe, and despises everything that is considered ugly, by elvish standards. Nath is a ruthless commander, knowing no mercy, and will never hesitate to kill any of his subordinates when they fail or cause a failure in his master plan.

Nath is a great commander for long games and preventing infinite combos from going off, for a 5 drop 4/4 that combines the discarding dark powers of black with the token generating natural powers of green why wouldn't you use him for a GB EDH deck?

Couple of the combos:

Nath of the Gilt-Leaf + Sadistic Hypnotist sac an elf, have all opponents discard their hands, and get an elf for each discard

---->Nezumi Bone-Reader functions the same, but costs a B mana each time

Ashnod's Altar + Necrogenesis with either Altar of the Brood or Extractor Demon infinite mill

Memory Jar + Nath of the Gilt-Leaf great way to draw seven cards use them on your turn and get X*7 Elf Warriors

----> Dark Deal similar except you keep your hand, but draw one less card

Previously I ran more discard effect cards, but found that it forced you into a top deck scenario, which can be interesting, but on the whole not that fun. So, I modified the deck to have more control aspects and fewer discard effects, this makes the game more enjoyable as well as draw less attention to Nath, keeping him alive longer.
