you could drop the Wild Beastmasters because whereas they do buff they don't actually add the counters. would also drop the Abzan Battle Priests and the Tuskguard Captains as well as 2 Ainok Guides reason being as they aren't soldiers and as they do fit the theme of the deck, your Preeminent Captains cant trigger them for the last 2 I would drop 1 Ajani's Pridemate and 1 Mentor of the Meek to get down to a solid 60 cards, then you can playtest it and hopefully it will run a lot smoother (you can sideboard the removed cards as well for a starting sideboard but would probably need further edits later) hope this helped

I'd probably put him in over enduring scalelord, as he is fine early game, as you mentioned you had problems with mana, and late game he's just as good as scale lord, possibly even better as he comes down as bigger than a 4/4 late game as long as you have a controlling board state. He's also much better value as 6 mana is quite a bit, and if it does cost 6 it should be more than a 4/4 flyer who eats removal and did nothing. If you want a big drop late game, I'd reccomend kalonian hydra, as he would easily clinch a game for you.

I feel like scalelord is stronger than him, even though it's a 6 drop. Moreover, I think Kalonian Hydra is a bit out of my budget.

Gutro33 The reason I don't like Avatar of the Resolute is he's really bad if you aren't ahead, if you are ahead he's good, but if you aren't he isn't a win condition.
