I've been tuning this deck for months. It was my second deck I made for FNM since I really started playing in standard competitive around January. I've been picking up the shock lands here and there and switching cards in and out since I started it and now I think I've come to something I think will work.
1 drop creatures:Gladecover Scout 1/1 hexproof for one green I pump with madcap skills hard
1 drop spells:Chained to the Rocks See ya never Desecration Demon or pretty much any creature I don't want to deal with like Polukranos, the World Eater except Blood Baron of Vizkopa and Stormbreath Dragon but they can wait a minute
2 drop creatures:Burning-Tree Emissary Fantastic for fixing my mana or getting a free chump blocker. I can BTE into Madcap Skills Magma Jet Sylvan Caryatid or Mizzium Mortars and more than once I've had two red lands and one green to cast a BTE into something that needs two green like Witchstalker
Sylvan Caryatid Blocks like a man and fixes mana like birds. Also, with a caryatid and a scout shuts down Far / Away
Fleecemane Lion If I can't get a madcap skills out then I can get a 3/3 which is pretty neat too. If I can make him monstrous he survives Supreme Verdict and pretty much is unremovable.
2 mana spells:Madcap Skills the skills to pay the bills skills to let me hit you for 4 second turn
Boros Charm More than once I've cast 2 boros charms for the win at 8 damage. Indestructible protects my creatures from verdicts, downfalls, burn spells or lets me block and keep them alive.Finally double strike lets me win in one turn by pumping a 6/3 with bloodrush making him a 10/7 and before you know it, 20 damage.
Mizzium Mortars Goodbye blood baron, stormbreath and Courser of Kruphix
Magma Jet Bust off a 1/2 deathtouch blocker or an unblockable 3/1 zombie or hit you for two and I get to scry 2 and make sure my next two draws really count.
Ghor-Clan Rampager He isn't a spell, but...I've never cast him as a creature so he's a RG +4/+4 trample Giant Growth mutation.
3 drop creatures:Witchstalker 3/3 hexproof who pumps when someone tries to counterspell my madcap skills or downfalls my BTE.
Boon Satyr 4/2 flash there's a 4/2 on the battlefield at the end of your turn...he can attack on my turn...deal with it.
3 drop spells:Unflinching Courage Armadillo Cloak? I get a 3/3 hexproof trample lifelink and you're getting smashed cause it probably already had madcap skills...make it 6/3.
Just last week I made 3rd at FNM then I changed it to this I think it'll work better. I'm pretty excited for this Friday.
