When I saw Hero's Blade and the amount of legendary creatures in the peak of Theros/Tarkir standard, I had to use it. I decided to go with Maya colors for the most power. Your best play is a turn 1 zurgo/kytheon, turn 2 blade, and a turn 3 legendary. Yasova and Alesha have the best synergy. Being able to steal pretty much any creature your opponent can stick on T4 is pretty good and if they removed your Kytheon, guess who's back! Brimaz or Anax and Cymede are actually more powerful with their vigilance on T3. And the only 4 drop Surrak is in here because with a blade, he triggers his own formidable to get haste as soon as he comes in. It has done well at my FNM but it's more fun and themed than competitive. I've recently spent a lot more money on it to make it competitive but it is able to be budget. Yisan is a sub I was using for CoCo. Pia and Kiran Nalaar are a fun addition as well because they can pitch the blade for finishing damage. A thopter hooked up is funny too.
