Hellkite Tyrant - WHY??? It is only good in modern sideboards. there is nothing in standard worth stealing, I think. Prove me wrong and I will agree with you. +1

Alright so here's my reasoning. First, the artwork is awesome. But more importantly, prior to Tyrant I ran Flame-Wreathed Phoenix , this was until I decided Xenagod was necessary for this decks sustainability. This meant that Phoenix would almost always be a 3/3 because what's the point of paying tribute if he already has haste. Another thing is that I like flying. Evasion has helped me win games on many different occasions. So a beefy flyer is what I wanted. That pretty much brings it down to Hellkite and Chaos Imps . The reason I picked Hellkite is because two weeks in a row I was beat up by Spear of heliod, whip of erobos, and pithing needle screwing up Domri and Xenagos. Orsohov is prominent at my meta. So that is my reasoning. Weather or not you agree that's up to you and I completely understand your concern hah. I just wanted a big flyer and based on the conditions of my local meta, Tyrant was my best choice.

I also realize now pithing needle is a poor example, but the rest still stands hah

Honestly, that makes sense. Countless times I have been beat up by Spear of Heliod and friends so that would actually help out a lot. Also, standard does lack a huge R/G monsters flyer and with Xenagos, God of Revels , you have a 12/11 Flying Trample haste.

I think it would definitely benefit the deck, but my wallet says otherwise right now hah

keep anger of the gods, it's highly useful against weenie decks that wait for you to slowly kill of all the 2/2 creatures before bringing each one back from the graveyard at once.

If you really need that much mana ramp other than Caryatid and Elvish Mystic, I would suggest Golden Hind over Satyr Hedonist . However I feel like you already have enough.

For the record, any of the godly weapons would be a good steal, and although it would take a lot of skill and a little bit of luck, if you somehow managed to steal an Elixir of Immortality from a control deck that would be pretty devastating.

So we can all take relief in the fact that Siege Dragon is ballin. Hellkite finally has a replacement and he locks down end game very well. Not to mention he curves well with Xenagos, God of Revels giving him haste.

You REALLY need Elvish Mystic in here to ramp bigger and better. Its faster which is super important in these kind of decks.

I would get rid of the hydra. Add Nylea the Goddess of the Hunt.

Pumps up the creatures and you get trample.

Ravager is definitely something I want to play for a little because I think its interaction with Hornet nest makes it worth while to keep in the deck. But we'll see

Purphoros, God of the Forge (the big perf) just is not worth it your better off with xenigod also what are you mana ramping to a Heat Ray ? you should be mana ramping to a Polukranos, World Eater and his monstrosity and Nylea, God of the Hunt her +2/+2 also as awesome as Nessian Wilds Ravager is your better off with a turn 2 Courser of Kruphix or maybe if your staying with the mana ramp look into Hydra Broodmaster also Unravel the Aether is way better than Destructive Revelry because it deals with gods also less Mana Confluence more Temple of Abandon and also more Karplusan Forest also for ramping up to nylea dont trust me? play test this Nylea mana ramp

just remember that Anger of the Gods will kill your things as well so be cautious about that. other then that, love the list

thats a big reason why a put 3 of Purphoros, God of the Forge even though most people cringe at the chance of a dead draw. With him out I dont even need to worry about the tokens sticking

Setessan tactics here, would be awesome, cuz you can target on of your massive creatures, then have em crack open your hornets nest...

The deck looks awesome, however I would make room for some form of removal.
