How has Aurelia, the Warleader been working for you? I feel like its a win-more card. And when do you side in your card:Aurelia's Fury? I was looking at but I don't know how to add it in my deck i'm working on. You can check it out its called deck:wild-rampage-1.

Aurelia, the Warleader is excellent. Dropping it can swing the game in your favor with just one attack step. Something like card:Slayers' Stronghold and Kessig Wolf Run become twice as useful when you've got two attack steps.

card:Aurelia's Fury is still in testing. I'm not sure if I'd prefer Clan Defiance , but Fury allows for a lot of different things. Stops a Terminus or Miracle of other sorts. So...testing still...

The deck seems good dude. Its very similar to my naya deck deck:wild-rampage-1. How has Domri Rade been working for you? I was thinking about adding Domri Rade to mine but i didn't think i would be taking full advantage of him without a significant creature on turn two like Flinthoof Boar or Strangleroot Geist . And the same about Aurelia, the Warleader . Has it been a game changing card or just a win-more card for you? Other than that +1 from me.

Domri Rade has been fantastic against the right matchups. He really shines against control and other midrange decks, especially with Boros Reckoner , his -2 is essentially a 2-for-1.

With Flinthoof Boar and Strangleroot Geist you're already a more Aggro deck, and Domri is too slow for that kind of deck...plus you want something better to drop T3.

Aurelia, the Warleader has been a house. She comes out and just wins. I played a game literally seconds ago in which i cast her, she hit the board, and my opponent scooped. She made a Restoration Angel and card:Avacyn's Pilgrim into a 14-point life-swing.

OK well the first thing you want to do is send me those Cavern of Souls lol. I think on the SB if you want to run Mizzium Mortars run more then 1. If your going to run Rhox Faithmender, I'd main him, so possibly switch out 2 Huntmasters for them. I'll do a more in depth reveiw later I'm a tad busy atm.

Rhox Faithmender is only good as a situational card. He's strong against Aggro and maybe in the Midrange mirror, but other than that he's a bit lackluster. Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip is strong maindeck material. I could see dropping him down to 3, maybe...but he's just got such good synergy with Restoration Angel and the utility-lands (card:Slayers' Stronghold and Kessig Wolf Run ).

The SB Mizzium Mortars will likely become a Bonfire of the Damned ...probably. With Searing Spear in the MB, Mortars is just less appealing as a removal option.

I made my own aggro version of naya that is pretty beastly. i have a hard time against control in the late gam but usually never hits turn 7 anyways. Doing 16 damage on turn 3 is back breaking an then if they cant gain life soon they lose to alot of the deck with a top deck at that point.

Have you considered Cloudshift I mean you've got so many awesome ETB's already but the real kicker is if you can work Aurelia out to get you three combats. Not saying you need anymore finishers because Come on, Thundermaw Hellkite is here too but just a thought, +1'd.

Cloudshift require either taking some of my already-sparse removal, the Planeswalkers, or some of the creatures. I'm not keen on losing removal, and the Planeswalkers seem like better value in the long game than a single cloudshift. Finally, if you're cutting down on creatures, you're also cutting down on Cloudshift's effectiveness. I tried it for a while, but it just wasn't really worth it.

3 Utility Lands and 2 Caverns seems ludicrous to me... have you ever gotten mana-screwed by these?

May 22, 2013 9:37 a.m.

Kamotz says... #12

Not really no. It's happened, of course, but no more than average, I'm assuming. Cavern is essentially calling whatever I need to cast at my most dire. Though I could probably cut them all together with the way my local meta seems to avoid playing Control like the plague.

id drop the ruric in the SB for another Assemble the leagion. Ive tried ruric and assemble is just so much better. also warleaders helix is actually a really good 2 of in the main deck IMO. Cant beat an 8 point life swing and a really good removal spell all in one neat little package. Other than that very solid naya build. O and maybe one more thundermaw somewhere in case of lingering souls. But that depends on your meta :P

June 7, 2013 11:31 a.m.

I'm not really sure Cavern of Souls is doing much for you in this deck. There are just so many different creature types floating around that it doesn't really make a lot of sense.

Well, it's not everyone's play-style. I've actually had quite many solid results. But I appreciate the input. There are certainly things to nail down, especially when adapting for individual metagames.

You should take out the Slayers' Stronghold and put in Gavony Township .

Why run 1 Hydra and 1 Sigarda when it would be much easier to just run 2 Hydras or, better yet, more Thundermaws?

Very similair to my deck except mine is more of a budget version. How does Huntmaster work out? Thinking about running him before theros rotates in. Here is my deck if you wanna check it out. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/naya-mid-range-16-07-13-1/

Damn lol, I was at the prerelease but I left just as it started. I took the white deck on top of the White "Temple" and pulled foil Hammer of Purphoros and Heliod, God of the Sun . Also got Bow of Nylea and 2 Anger of the Gods . Altogether a great pull.
