Argy Hm i'll add that into the future matches, I cant recall my placing from the previous ones at the moment. And by 'the field' you mean like if i came 2nd overall at standard fnm or if it was like 5th at a game day etc? :)
November 15, 2017 3:25 a.m.
Yeah, that's what I mean.
Some of my decks I consider REALLY successful when they've come in something like 6th, when the meta has been full of Tier 1 decks.
Others I don't consider to have done that well if they come 2nd, but the meta is more relaxed.
November 15, 2017 8:44 a.m.
Argy I looked up my planeswalker points and it told me my placings! So last week ( 10/11 ) i came 9th out of 22 and this week ( 17/11 ) i came 5th out of 14.
November 17, 2017 9:42 a.m.
Wow. 22 people is a HUGE field.
Where do you play?
Sometimes we are only JUST able to fire, because we have eight people.
Sounds like your deck is doing REALLY well in your local meta.
What decks give it the most challenge?
November 17, 2017 9:48 a.m.
Argy i play at good games rockingham in WA :) we get quiet nights like that occassionally too, averaging about 16 people.
energy is definately the hardest match up for this list.
im intrigued by the Prey counters on the latest spoiler ooooh..

Im bummed the latest spoiler wasnt Naya colors. But it leads me to think there will be a elder dino in every color now.

edit thinking about it further, i dont think i like either of the two new cards spoiled, looking at my list and thinking about what i'd rather play on those turns etc. I dont think either of this cards is what dinosaurs needs......Still worth testing.
December 31, 2017 11:17 p.m.
What a beefcake. I like it as a brewer at heart but this doesnt go in this deck at all.... Even if we can make it to 8 land im not sure. I'd rather go in with 1 or 2 of the green elder instead.
Dang i love this little guy! Might be worth testing, but Ranging Raptors is still the better card in my opinion, dont want to rely on getting enrage off and the raptors deters attacks better in my opinion.
This.... I like this... Pseudo Ramp or makes someone bigger, someone like Ripjaw Raptor or Kinjalli's Sunwing perhaps. Good at any point of the game i think. Might be worth giving a try.

Well, at least the white is going towards cards that are actually good.
January 2, 2018 12:17 a.m.
Just gonna start with my favourite today.
Now this card has got a lot of hate in the comments but i honestly thing its pretty good as a 1 of in this list, its advantage for the deck by playing cards for free on attacks, your opponents too! Its like our own hostage taker but not near as good lol.. but anyway, More playable than the white one at least. Also we got a few ways of granting haste! We have the Otepec Huntmaster and Regisaur Alpha which curves nicely into this guy. Also we have some ramp too! I can see us playing this guy reliably on t5 to be honest. Im definately testing this guy out.
Mmm nope not a fan, not for this list. Doesnt feel like a dinosaur card either at all. This feels like the ajani we wanted but never got?
Looks like we're getting a cycle of lords at 2cmc! RG for 2/2 sounds great here, and a very welcome addition to this list.
Glorious Destiny -2W
Enchantment
Ascend (If you control ten or more permanents, you get the city's blessing for the rest of the game.)
As Glorious Destiny enters the battlefield, choose a creature type.
Creatures of the chosen type get +1/+1/ They have vigilance as long as you have the city's blessing.
This is okay, I like anthem effects but if we're getting a lord , i would very much prefer , im not sure if this deck is looking for more non-creature cards at this point.
Shrine Atlisaur- 4W
Creature - Dinosaur
If a source would deal damage to another dinosaur you control, prevent all but 1 of that damage.
3/4
Hmmmm i dont think this list wants that either, its a cool ability but t4/t5? im not sure. Maybe sideboardable against burn heavy decks???

So much ridiculousness and its early in the season! I cant wait to steal a ScarabGod with Etali...
January 2, 2018 9:50 p.m.
Love this card! I think 2 in this deck would be good, A tutor and an engrage enabler sounds pretty damn good! And its obvious combo with...
Is damn cool and warrants its own deck! My brain is ticking and i cant wait to brew up something with that combo. Definately not for this deck.
This is cute, but that might be all it is in this deck, since im not sure how much open mana we would have when this dies. Interesting though, keeping my eye on it.
??? Hm not sure here as well as the deck really doesnt want more noncreature spells? Fixing is nice.
THIS LOOKS GREAT. It reminds me a bit of Fleecemane Lion and i think that enrage is great especially with Savage Stomp. I think i want to test this out.
January 3, 2018 9:53 p.m.
not bad mana sink, i think we just want to play a dork on t2 though.
Uuuughhhh HELLO. I dont think we'll ever reach that kind of mana reliably even with discounts so i dont think it belongs here. Purely for EDH imo. Though if we could play with it, we definitely would.
I like how this curves out, good t3 play and curves well into its Alpha, can trigger enrage on its own too. Might test.
I really wanted another flier but this...isn't it...
This is really cool! The only card it effects is Evolving Wilds for us at this stage, can easily just swap out for a basic land.
I'd love to run just 1 of this, but being tricolour really makes this hard. Its why I dropped Field of Ruin and other similar utility cards.
"Trapjaw Regisaur"
3WW
Creature - Dinosaur
Enrage - Whenever "Trapjaw Regisaur" is dealt damage, exile target creature an opponent controls until "Trapjaw Regisaur" leaves the battlefield.
5/5
I really like the design and utility of this dinosaur, even at 5 and double white. I hope that double mana doesnt hurt too much but im gonna test it out at least a 1 or 2 of.
"Silver-Armored Ferocidon"
5RR
Creature - Dinosaur
Enrage - Whenever "Silver-Armored Ferocidon" is dealt damage, each opponent sacrifices a permanent.
8/5
If this is how its written and not 'non-land' then i dont think we want this, even if we could cast it. But if it does say Non Land...Hmm.....
January 4, 2018 10:02 p.m.
This is...pretty solid removal actually... Sideboard Worthy?
Mysterious End
1W
Enchantment
When Mysterious End enters the battlefield, exile target creature with converted mana cost 3 or less an oponent controls.
When Mysterious End leaves the battlefield, target oponent creates a 3/3 green Dinosaur creature token with trample.
And this, ive been thinking about this since it was spoiled, its like Silkwrap and that saw play, but im not sure if we'd run this since we're going for more midrange strategy but it helps in the earlier stages while we're setting up so.....? Hm.....
January 4, 2018 10:13 p.m.
So many nice dinos, so many possibilities.
What do you think about wayward swordtooth instead of ranging raptors?
January 4, 2018 10:39 p.m.
Nusteyr Whoa! I didn't see that guy!
I really like the idea of this guy, but im not sure how reliable on getting ascend is just yet, i'll be watching how many permanants i get and if its relitavely easy, then this guy will definately make it into the mainboard, maybe indeed replacing the Ranging Raptors.... (I really love those guys, they fix mana and deter so many attacks..) OH BUT THIS GUY ALLOWS EXTRA LAND DROPS.. Dang yeah lets test!

Umm not sure if this is a mistype or if I'm missing something but you have Grave Bramble in there

Heres a way to get 5 mana on turn 3 or 6 for dinos(Kinjali's Caller) yes i know it doesnt add mana but it can get out your 6 drop dinos
Turn 1// plains// Kinjali's Caller
Turn 2// play land that can produce green// play Enter the Unknown// play land that can produce green // play Thunderherd Migration// or you could also play Wayward Swordtooth and then just play a additional land(this could get you to 6 mana
Turn 3 // play land and bam you have 5 mana on turn 3 for anything or 6 mana for dinos with the Kinjali's Calleror // with Wayward Swordtooth play two more lands have 6 mana for anything or 7 mana for dinos sorry for how it written i had it in like a list but it all went to one line when i posted it
January 5, 2018 9:33 p.m. Edited.
Thats interesting to know, however i refuse to run Kinjalli's Caller in this build, though i do love enter the unknown and thunderher migration, im not sure what i can drop to make room for it - both filter the deck a bit but getting to 6 mana has never been a problem for this deck :)

Where are you ending up in the field?
I usually include that in my match reports as it indicates the strength of the competition eg. I'll title my match reports something like: 2nd Place at Standard Showdown 5-3-0 Undefeated
