What is your aversion to running Kinjalli's Caller, out of curiosity?
January 23, 2018 9:26 a.m.
DrNevermore Unless you primary colour is white, its very hard to get a consistently t1 white source to play it, which is the best play for it. it just gets worse late game and let alone a top deck! i do see its benefits but the cons outweigh the pros in this case.
January 23, 2018 7:04 p.m.
It also doesn't offer anything extra, unlike the other two mana dorks.

Kizmetto I recommend Cast Out instead of Ixilan's Binding its the same cost and effect and it has Flash so you can cast it at Instant speed. To me that's a fair trade for the can't cast same name effect. Also I gotta disagree with you on Kinjalli Caller. It does take a lot more finnaggling with your lands but its a useful early drop that can help out as an early blocker if need be (IMO).

I love this deck! I'm all about dinosaurs right now and this deck looks like a lot of fun! +1 from me
February 9, 2018 1:10 a.m.
Alright gonna rebuild this and resume testing and recording matches :)
SlackMiller2100 Yeah, you're right the flash is just too valuable. Ive put it back into the deck.

I don't know how this deck plays and I won't pretend to, but I think you need to raise your mana curve a little. I really like this deck, but one dinosaur that has been recommended to me that can help raise your mana curve is polyraptor. hope this helps
February 16, 2018 11:12 p.m.
levithanking4 why do i need to raise the curve? i like polyraptor but thats its own deck, not a general good saur for a midrangey build like this. Just curious for your reasoning since i have been piloting this since IXA came in and consistently going 3-1 with it, i appreciate the comment though :) please tell me how polyraptor will help me.

Im really pleased with it Argy! i dont know how much more tweaking i can do now. until the next set is spoiled anyway! should i keep playing this list or brew up something new? i enjoy playing this deck a lot so enjoyment isnt a problem :) what would you do in this scenario?

yeah after looking at your deck more I see your point. I don't do well with tribal decks, and I haven't played magic for very long, so it is mostly just personal preference.
February 17, 2018 11:24 a.m.
I would keep playing this.
My preference is always to build as few decks as possible.
From a monetary stand point. Why spend extra when you don't need to?
From an enjoyment stand point. If you love a deck, playing it as much as possible before it rotates out seems to make sense.
There will come a day when you will wish you could still play this deck, so I'd make the most of it, while you can.

I noticed that you have tried out Samut, the Tested, and it was not good enough to stay in the deck. Have you considered Samut, Voice of Dissent?
March 6, 2018 5:05 p.m.
Excellent match report.
Always a joy to read one that gives you a true feeling of a match.
The enjoyment of playing a friend, the mistakes made, ideas for improvements, the close victories.
You have a very entertaining writing style.
If I could make a suggestion - Magma Spray might be worth an include.
Not only does it get rid of the pesky Kitesail Freebooter, but it stops Sacred Cat, and Adorned Pouncer from making a return appearance.
March 6, 2018 5:18 p.m.
Did you see the llanowar elf, mox and the allosaurus? definately gonna find a slot for 1 or 2 allosaurus due to big stats and late game relevance. elves could speed the deck up a lot too. mox might not work for us due to lack of legendaries in this build.
March 26, 2018 4:17 a.m.
oh and thank you Argy for the magma spray suggestion, it has been going so much smoother now!
and thank you hehe, i try to put what i can in the reports. maybe it can help other builders!
March 26, 2018 4:18 a.m.
Happy to help.
I notice Magma Spray is not in your list.
Did you end up finding a more effective card?
March 26, 2018 7:24 a.m.
now beginning testing with Dominaria and have archived all previous comments!
Argy whoops i forgot to edit it into the digital list but its up there now! so far its good mainboard so it will likely stay there for now! testing Llanowar Elves and territorial allosaur and seal away!
March 29, 2018 11:29 a.m.
how are your tests with Llanowar Elves and Territorial Allosaurus? They worth it? I'm very curious about that :)
April 3, 2018 4:44 p.m.
holdriz Hm im not sure about Elves in this particular build since we're 3 colour, the ramp is nice but often i have GGR or GGW and lack the 3rd colour often, but the allosaurus seems decent as a two of! I dont think we want more, but having the late game advantage of kicking it is a nice option to have.
April 3, 2018 9:44 p.m.
I don't think Llanowar Elves are great in a tri colour deck.
April 4, 2018 9:33 a.m.
Argy Agreed. the reward isnt worth the inconsistency of draws. Removed for now. i really like the new land cycle and will run at least 1 green one, not much more due to how important having a Forest is.
April 5, 2018 11:58 p.m.
You don't find the new lands too slow?
I guess a one of isn't too bad.
April 6, 2018 6:27 a.m.
Updated now that Dominaria is spoiled! Not too many new toys , but if we wanted to go into RG monster build....I like Grand Warlord Radha.
We're still naya as the premium white removal is just too good and the sideboard... And i love Huatli too much. Will give this a shot when i get the pieces!

Hey, I saw you played against my list. I think you played it out pretty much like I would have, I think my sideboard could use a lot of help against this deck, but without really knowing where the meta is going, that might take some time. I played Naya Dinos in my prerelease today and boy was it fun, I'm considering running it in Standard and I'll definitely use your list to help me if I do. +1 from me!
