The natural way that necromancers raise the dead by animating dead bodies such is the way Ghoulcaller Gisa does. The nurturing way would be reminiscent of Dr. Frankenstein the assembly of bodies brought together by Stitcher Geralf. Whatever the differences between these siblings their efforts combined are a thing of beauty.

This deck's most effective creature, that should be the first target of a Buried Alive + Vampiric Tutor would be Havengul Lich. This zombie wizard is an absolute champ in here.I've decided to include some sources of generating mana outside of black and blue to utilize that the lich can also let you cast creatures from your opponents graveyard. Exotic Orchard + Fellwar Stone in particular to get the mana from the opponent who's graveyard you'll be pillaging. Ancient Ziggurat + Mana Confluence work just as well as getting them from any yard. The other ramp is a standard package Sol Ring + Thran Dynamo Dimir Signet + Talisman of Dominance , buy the last ramp is a killer literally Ashnod's Altar in here with the creature generation is a monster. If you can afford to get a Phyrexian Altar go ahead and it'll help but not to the same level of ramp and broken infinite combos as much as Ashnod's.

Ok so here's some of the best interaction between cards and how some infinite combos work. Ashnod's Altar + Havengul Lich add any zombie creature and Rooftop Storm or another way swap Havengul Lich for a Gravecrawler as long as there's another zombie on your board it's infinite colorless mana. Which can be used with Dark Salvation + From Under the Floorboards to generate infinite zombies. Mill is a good alternative win condition able to be achieved by several creatures. Lich Lord of Unx, Undead Alchemist just to name a few. Another great combo uses the altar with Geralf's Mindcrusher + Nim Deathmantle the undying mechanic will bring the mindcrusher back the first time you sac if for free, leaving you 2 colorless. Mill 5 from an opponent from the ETB trigger, sac it again and use the 4 you've got with the deathmantle to return the mindcrusher. It won't get a +1/+1 since it wasn't brought back with the undying mechanic. Wash, rinse, repeat, mill your opponents for their entire decks if they don't have an answer on hand at the time. don't even give them an opportunity to do anything during their upkeep before they die on their draw step, just activate the Geier Reach Sanitarium obviously you could put Mikokoro, Center of the Sea if you have it instead, but the sanitarium is one of the few madness outlets to make the most of From Under the Floorboards. Speaking about madness there are a few that I cut but you might want to include if you choose. Circular Logic + Obsessive Search or Call to the Netherworld. Also a side note, I'd pick up a playset or more of the Sanitarium while they're cheap, and for the utility they provide, I'm putting them in a lot of other EDH decks, and I expect the cost of them to go way up down the line.

So let's talk about the lands. There are a ton of utility lands to provide the versatility, just being a two color deck and not a single card needing more than two colored mana in either or both, per card to cast. And with cheating mana costs with Dream Halls + Rooftop Storm there's even less of a need to fix mana. Hence why I have utility loaded up. Also the creature types are very relevant having Riptide Laboratory capable of saving both commander Gisa and Geralf and their individual cards, as well as the previously mentioned Havengul Lich and super versatile Fatestitcher also Lim-Dul the Necromancer & Lich Lord of Unx by being able to return them to your hand. A possible switch I dropped was an Archaeomancer over the Possessed Skaab just since he'd be easier to abuse ETB triggers Since the Skaab you can't sac with it's self exile, so whatever floats your boat. Unholy Grotto being an obvious include and something like Reliquary Tower might raise an eyebrow since you'll be discarding to use Dream Halls and the like. However, there is a huge draw engine with River Kelpie + Secrets of the Dead so you'll want to have a way to keep everything you've picked up in your grip. Another must include is High Market needed to save a creature from being exiled, you can recur any creature at some point from the yard, just keep that in mind.

So there are just a few non-zombie and non-wizard creatures. And weird as it is, they might become zombies or wizards at some point. yes it's a shapeshifter. Evil Twin can flat out lock down an enemy commander if it's a major threat to you. The decks major weakness is graveyard hate. If your opponent drops a Leyline of the Void + Rest in Peace or Planar Void + Tormod's Crypt , you're in trouble. Save control magic for these. Don't worry about any board wipe other than the exile ones I.E. Descend upon the Sinful + Final Judgement counter those, you can recover from the rest easily.

There is no way to list how much synergy exists within the deck, playing it will yield more and more unexpected interactions that may not be infinite but very exploitable. like if your board has Havengul Lich + Rooftop Storm you can spend 1 mana per time you return Fleshbag Marauder from the graveyard, highly exploitable to get every opponent to sac a creature per mana, all the while you keep sacrificing the Fleshbag. under the same board state a super exploitable, pun intended creature is Sidisi, Undead Vizier she can exploit herself which still gives you a Demonic Tutor per mana you spend. Either of these ways of being able to abuse the ETB triggers of a few creatures should be able to dominate the battlefield state.
